Here's the Fender '62 Reissue Strat Tremolo Bridge you can use to replace your worn Stratocaster bridge with a factory-fresh unit and put an end to whammy woes.

I bought this to install in my '69 strat after I screwed in the arm too far a few years back and snapped off the screw end down in the block. This assembly fits great and looks great. The only objection I have, and it is a small one, is that the original tailpiece had two seperate pieces, the bridge plate and the inertia block. This one is one solid piece. Included was a small black spring which puzzled me at first...I slipped it into the arm hole then screwed in the arm. The spring gives resistance so the arm does not free swing and will prevent you from doing what I did, screwing the arm in too far and snapping off the screw end! If you have an older American strat this will fit perfect..comes with everything you see in the photo...including the little black spring!
I've tried nearly every knife edge floating bridge that is out the for a strat and this is THE one to get. Beautiful tone, excellent for staying in tune and most of all perfect geometry for the pivot. Aside from heavy dive bombing generally you wont find better because this is the benchmark for all others. I use this bridge on all my strats I take on the road and gig with. If you want that vintage tone this is it. Add this to a MIM strat and even they come alive, especially the road worn series.
this is a great bridge,it really adds sustain to my Squire Strat CV-60...ALTHOUGH it does require some modifications, the mounting screw holes did'nt line up, I used some wood glue and toothpicks to seal the existing holes and re-drilled to the new pattern, without routing I STILL have plenty of tremolo play for my taste. I gave this product a 5-star rating just because it worked for me
