my dad bought a bunch of the green [.88mm] ones a while back... i tried one out and decided i liked em so much that i "borrowed" all of them from him. definitely takes a little getting used to, but if you have a hard time getting a grip on a standard pick, it's definitely worth giving these a shot.

I normally use a Jim Dunlop .60 nylon pick, well being more of strumming guitar player than a picker sometimes after practicing for a while the JD pick would slip from my fingers because of sweat. I saw these Everly Star Grip picks and thought what a novel idea, this should solve my problem. Well problem solved no more dropping the pick BUT it has created a new problem, pick spins. These picks will spin between you fingers and I find it utterly annoying, even more annoying than dropping a pick. I went back to using the Dunlops and will give these Everlys to anyone who bums a pick off me.

      Perfect

      By Andrew Schammel

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I have no idea where or when i "inherited" an orange .6mm from I think my brother, but these picks are perfect! I used it every day I played. The grip is outstanding unlike any other pick I've used. I play with my thumb in the hole, index and middle on the opposite sides. I have rather large hands and so grip is a huge need for me. Also they don't have a huge picky sound to them which I love. I've used this pick almost everyday for the past 5 months and it just today broke. I HIGHLY recommend these. For me, they never spin around. Love em!!! Use them for everything.

      Fun!!

      By RONNIE GRABER

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I special ordered the green 88mm. Everly Star Picks, since my nearest Guitar Center didn't carry that size. I got them about 5 days later, and was anticipating to have these picks in my fingers. These picks have great balance, and give you a little tone support, and pack a punch. At first I was a little not used to having a star punched out in the middle, but that went away in about 15 minutes while playing. I highly recommend them! Phil X also uses them!

      Nice

      By Kevin Kobe

      from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I was using Fender Mediums religiously since a teenager. Not anymore. Recently, a good friend lost part of his index finger, and he was fumbling with thumb pics, as those were the only things he could find to hold between his Thumb and "nub" of what he had left of an index finger. (and even then, we were applying a little tape) Seen these, and had him try them, and they stayed put! Next thing I knew I had to go buy more and more, because all my guitar buddies kept taking them. Now I play my bass with the purple ones, and keep plenty of orange and yellows for the rest of the band. I know this reads like a cheezy spam email, but it's a true story. I love these picks!

      Unique feel.

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I love these picks. I play bass with the green .88mm picks, and I like the feel of them. The way they flex and the extra grip feel really good to me, and they seem to last a long time (although I do use flat wounds). I know they're not everyone's particular cup of tea, but I do recommend trying one (I found one at a venue or something, and promptly bought 3 dozen more. To each his own. =]

      Perfect yet Painful

      By Jimmy

      from West Palm Beach FL

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I have the 1.14mm It's the best pick I've ever used, and I've used so many different brands and styles. I've never dropped it but the way I grip it it will sometimes rotate in your hand if you are strumming fast. But I've also noticed how the vibrations from strumming fast and the star cut into it will hurt your thumb pretty badly wherever the star is on your thumb I have yet to find a way to avoid this. I doubt I'll find a better pick. but be warned if you play fast and can't stand a little pain. otherwise its the best pick you can get for the price.

Would be better without the hole!

      By George

      from Orange Park,FL

Comments about Everly Star Grip Guitar Pick Dozen:

I didn't like these picks at all. The hole lets the pick rotate around between your thumb & index fingertips while picking. By the end of your solo, you're not playing with the pointed end anymore. Also, where the hole is cut on the pick,it makes the pick flex a lot more. A "medium" pick would really feel like a "medium-thin". I'm going back to taking a razor blade to my Dunlops & making cross- hatch marks (#) on both sides. It's much better for grip that way instead of holes.
