Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

Wonderful head! Love the tone I get with this head. I don't like a poppy snare sound and the way I tune my snare drum this head is perfect for what I want! Evans does it again!!

Too Loud & Clashy

By Austin

from Vicksburg, Mi.

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

I Had Recently Bought A New Snare Drum, A Pearl Limited Edition & I Didn't Care Too Much For The Remo Head That Came With It. I Purchased This Head, Concerned About The Holes Around The Edge of The Head. Switched It Out With This Evans ST Dry, Tuned It The Way I Like It, & Started Playing Around With It For A Bit. I Thought It Sounded Too Loud, And Clashy, Like It Overpowered The Rest of The Drum Set. I Loosened It, & Tried It Again, Still Too Loud. I Replaced It Back To The Original Head That Came With The Drum & It Sounded So Much Better. I Wouldn't Recommend This Drum Head, Unless You Like The Loud & Clashy Sound of A Snare Drum.

Great for deep snares

By Zack

from Baldwyn,MS

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

I have a 10 ply maple snare 14x8 with 4 vent holes and I wanted to get all the power without all the ring so I tried this head and wow just as expected. It has an amazing rim shot the best I've heard and this head is tough I've had it on my snare for almost a year and its still going strong!

Better than the EC Reverse Dot...

By Nelson

from Orlando, FL

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

Before playing this head, I praised the EC Reverse Dot Snare head as the best of its kind. After wanting to try something new, I went for this Evans ST Dry head and I've now crowned this achievement as the best! Ghost notes on this head project more clearly than the EC Reverse Dot, and the ghost notes are much more sensitive. Another thing about this head is that it's very diverse because you can tune it soft, medium, or crank it super tight; the EC can only sound good when tuned tightly. But tuning this baby tightly (how I prefer it) will get you a much louder and crispier sound than the EC Reverse Dot even with it being less durable. This head is a must-buy if you're looking to play live. The Evans ST Dry is louder, Deeper, Badder, and Better than ever!

This head will give you the POP you want

By Gami Roriguez

from Newport News, VA

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

I've had my snare for quite some time and i didn't think that the snare would sound much different with a new head. When i got this head, it was as if i bought a new snare. You can tune it tight and it wont stress from rim shots or straight hard shots. This head has the best pop that i've heard and is VERY DURABLE for hard players. It's worth more than it's tag.

A Nice Change

By VooDooMan

from Baltimore

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

I put this head on one of my stainless snares, which had always been a bit too bright-sounding. No such problem any more. The head allows a bit of brightness, owing to the thickness of the plies, but the dry venting works well to tighten things up nicely. I like it a lot.

The ultimate snare sound

By My Snare has awoke!

from Rocklin, CA

Comments about Evans ST Dry Coated Snare Drumhead:

Finally a snare head that you can abuse and will also get rid of that horrable high end ring. My Pearl Reference snare is now alive, Everyone will notice the sound so buy it and try it, you wont go back to any other head.
