Designed with the heavy hitter in mind, the Evans Heavyweight Reverse Dot Batter Head is 20mil thick at the center of the head. While thicker heads often choke out due to extreme mass, the heavyweight reverse dot patch flexes for a wider dynamic range and extra focus and attack.

Evans Level 360 technology is incorporated to extend the level playing surface of the drumhead, 360 degrees around the drum. The vertically enhanced collar design guarantees even contact with the bearing edge of the drum shell, resulting in: ease of tuning, extended pitch range and optimum quality of sound.

Comments about Evans Heavyweight Reverse Dot Snare Drumhead:

This share head is loud! I've used many kinds of heads and this one is my favorite. A little bit of ring and a lot of volume if your looking for an aggressive head this one is it.

I have a 13x5 steel shell snare drum and iv been using single ply Remo's,and a EC1 with a 300 snare side its sounded good but all heads I used don't last me long. So I tried the heavy weight with the 300 snare side and just wow I had it tuned low sounded great I turned it up 5 full turns and still just amazing. its lasted me a very long time so far never chokes out sounds brand new coting last im very happy I got this head I wont use a different head again

Best Snare Head I Have Ever Used

          By Matt

          from San Bruno, California

Comments about Evans Heavyweight Reverse Dot Snare Drumhead:

I used to use an Evans ST Dry on my snare and it was good, but I kept getting an unwanted ring out of my snare. And when I used muffling, it would sound too dead for my test. After some research I thought I would try the heavyweight. I put it on and its sounds absolutely amazing! It projects the snare exceptionally well and I don't need to put any dampening on the head. I tested it with dampening but sounded too dead for my taste so I would recommend no dampening on this head. My snare is louder than ever and the guys in my band absolutely love it. I recommend this head to anyone in rock n roll or any style actually. You will not be disappointed
