  • great head!

As reviewed by hybridshooter on 10/27/2006

I reccently got a Sonor force 2005 birch snare drum. I haven't been able to tune the over tones out of it, and have tried a number of different snare heads including various other evans and remos. I finally purchased this head and fell in love immediatley! It dried up the sound, gave me unbelievable crack without any unwanted ringing, and holds it's tune better then any other head I've tried. If you want a dry, crisp sound from your snare buy this head! You won't be sorry.

  • Sweet sound

As reviewed by VooDooMan on 1/8/2007

Everyting that Hybridshooter said about this head is spot-on. I put it on my own birch snare and the difference it made is amazing. I love playing the drum, and the compliments I get at gigs on the sound tell me I made the right choice.

  • Sweet and Tasty!

As reviewed by Matt Jones on 2/11/2009

I have this head on a Pork Pie Big Black Brass Drum, and I must say that it is the best part of my set other than the snare itself. The precision and dryness of the attack sings, but doesn't choke or wind the drum. Its sensitive, but can take a serious beating. Tune it high for ultra precise ghost notes and rolls, or low for a fat "TAK" sound any harder playing musician would love. I refuse to play with anything less. The porting is a must! It allows the snare to play unhindered by dampening while still maintaining the ring perfectly.
