  • Wow! Really Surprised!

    I got a 10" and 12" G14 coated to see how I was gonna like them. I've tried many different coated heads and just couldn't find a coated head that has the warmth plus more projection, (and I can tune very very well)! I tried Remo coated Ambassador and Emperor, Evans G2 coated and G1 coated, and none of those had enough projection for my taste. So I was on Evans website checking out the new 360 degree technology reading up on that, and seen that Evans has sound libraries for all their heads. So I slapped in my in-ear headphones for the best sound possible, and listened to every head they make, including bass heads. And the G14 kept getting my attention. I needed a new bass head anyway, so I said "What the heck, I'll try a 10" and 12" G14 coated head to", and I was really amazed how good they sound, and with the new 360 technology, they tuned easy and I'm ordering a 14" and 16" coated batter G14 for my floor toms! If you like warmth but more projection than a say a Remo Emperor, then this head is for you! By the way, I went with a Evans GMAD bass head over the normal EMAD I use, and that head is great as well, lot's of punch, a bit warmer and more low end!

    I just got this head today, put it on my snare, and it is amazing!! I haven't been playing for long, so i switched from my stock heads to this, and this head is just amazing.
