The Evans EQ Pad attaches to your bass drum head with velcro strips to muffle resonance and volume. Great for studio work or close drum miking.
I was very dissappointed the second I saw this and knew it would not do the job.The pad is about a third of the size it needs to be.and is quite a joke.Apparently Evans realizes this because in the set up instructions they show 3 or 4 pads hooked together to get the desired tone.Don't waste your money!

I use the EQPad along with the Emad drumhead It is the best way I have found to control after ring without loosing tone quality. This is a great product to use in the studio.

I used to just use an old pillow in my rmv 24 bass drum but after getting tired of feathers flying around the jam studio i opted for one of these if you instal it correctly its awesome big bass with a nice quick cut off i think its the way to go for sure

This is by far the best innovation for adjusting the exact sound you're looking for on your kick drum. I use it on all my sets, and have for years. If you don't care for it, you are definately doing something wrong, and should immediately start looking for another line of work to get into, because nothing could be easier to use, while getting the maximum results from this great product. I've been drumming for over 45 years, and have tried everything else that's out there. This is by far the best that's out there.
