Chuck your pillow

This head is great. I've tried pillows and foam muffles inside my kick, but this head eliminates them. Now the drum just resonates naturally. Nice muffling action from either one of the removable foam rings. Regular gigs have not diminished the quality of the head in any way. Love it.

The head that counts

This drum head has been great to me for the past four years of my drumming career. I've used Evans and Evans only when it comes to heads. This EMAD 2 has the biggest punch and leaves enough room for great resonance so no drummer has to stuff a blanket in the drum. With amazing punch; durable build and amazing audible flexability, this head takes your feet to a whole new level. Whether you're just keeping a beat at the local club; or your tearing it up with both feet going as fast as possible; the Evans EMAD 2 bass head is guarenteed to leave you satisfied.

This is an awesome head. I had an aquarian superkick I, and I broke it, so i got the emad 2. Its perfect for me! Im into rock and metal (Led zep, Metallica, etc), so this gives me the perfect sound i want. deep, full, and no annoying ring. Get it! you'll be glad you did!

EXELLENCE!!!

This drumhead is beyond the rest. No matter what type of shell you drum is, with this head there is never a need to put anything inside the drum. The resonant head together with it makes the bassdrum sound like it's actually miked. The price is amazing for this pro-quality head!

Worth the few extra bucks

Had em for 2 years now. They're the best I've ever owned! They sound great! Nice deep low end, great feel and attack, and very durable. The foam rings are easy to install and get rid of unwanted ring and overtone without changing the overall feel and attack of the head. A little pricey, but well worth the few extra bucks

Amazing

If you are looking for a new kick drum head definately check an emad2 out. I have always liked the normal emad but i still had to put a small towel or pillow in the kick to make it sound how i like it. Now with the EMAD2 you need absolutely no more dampening and you will get the perfect amount of punch. I dont think ive ever head a kick drum sound as good. I promise you wont regret trying this head out and it will last you a very long time.

The best, without question

I replaced my stock head on my bass drum with this the other day, and I was stunned. Coupled with the Aquarian Regulator resonant head, the wider of the two foam rings, and a small amount of muffling inside, it has the perfect thump, and made my entire set sound ten times better. It transformed my bass drum from an ugly-sounding plastic slap to a flawless thud, perfect for any type of music genre or playing style.

Great head that puts you in control!!!

Evans bass heads are by far my favorite!! The Emad is an amazing head that is worth the extra cash. With two different dampening rings to help you create the sound you want, this bass head puts you in control. I love the fact that I can get a big "round" sound out of my kick or a punchy and quick attack sound. The only negative I have about the EMAD was that I found it a little hard to tune at first, but once I got it tuned up it blew me away!!!!! Buy this head if you want to be able to control the sound of your kick drum

The Best!

This is by far the best bass drum head I've ever used. It's great for all styles but I play hardcore/hard rock and it holds up wonderfully to my hard hitting. This baby sounds like it is mic'd up all the time, and my drums are in a tiny room with blankets on the walls! I played a 3 hour show with this and it held up beautifully and I got TONS of drummers after the show asking me what bass drum head I was using. This will be the last drum head I ever use! It's simply unbelievable, you just have to buy it for yourself to see! You won't be dissapointed!

Amazing

This head will make any drum sound amazing! I first heard it on my friend crappy PDP junior set and it had the perfect sound. So I bought it for me and love it.
