Awesome!
The Emad Resonant head gives my drum a real punchy thump that I really love. The head decreased the amount of internal muffling needed because my old head didn't have a hole in it. Its sound is incredible and the interchangeable foam rings really change the sound of the head by taking out overtones. The firm ring increases attack and the softer ring gives the drum a round tone to it. I have heard cases that the ring would fall apart, but I haven't had that problem yet, only the little evans sign fell off. But overall, its one of the best resonant drum heads out there today.

Good Head
This bass drum head definately reduces a ring to your bass drum and will give a deeper sound to it. The nice thing about this head is the microphone hole, it makes it so much easier to mike the bass drum with it. After using this head i no longer needed a pillow stuffed in the bass drum. Overall great product.

Great Head!
For years I've had an annoying high pitched ring in my bass drum. I considered stuffing a pillow in it, but instead I purchased this head along with a non-ported EMAD head for the playing side and not only is the annoying ring gone, but my bass sounds better than it ever has before! It has a much deeper, punchier sound --- a Lars Ulrich type sound, with just enough resonance to not sound muffled. I wish I could've had this head 15 years ago!

Awesome head, but...
This head sounds awesome, but the foam rings break after a couple months of use. It really put a damper on how awesome this head sounded. With out the rings, the head sounds just like any other head. If you e mail evans, they will send you replacement. but i got tired of doing that. the just kept breaking. But the head does sounds great.

Evans EMAD Rules !
I just got this head to rehead my Ddrum set. This thing is awesome. I know what head I will be using from now on. The EMAD batter head is a must as well. No pillow needed in the bass drum for that solid thump with no overtones. Just awesome !

Can you say BOOM?
I've been playing a great sounding set of Pearl's with a 22" bass since I bought them new in 1982. Over the years I've tried different heads and every type of dampening imaginable. I've been using foam and foam strips for years with good results. Last year I put E2's on the toms and a EMAD clear batter head on the bass and have been well pleased. Then, last month I added the EMAD Resonant head and, BOOM! I've never heard one head make such a difference in tone and depth, it's like a cannon going off. The guys in my band can't believe it either. No more pillows, mufflers, etc. necessary. If you can't get the sound you want out of the EMAD combo, something else is wrong. The Ebony head looks great too! I highly recommend them. And, yes, the EMAD emblem and felt cover came off the foam ring the first practice I used it; no big deal, it just couldn't survive the BOOM! Still has the EVANS logo.

EMAD Resonant
No bass drum can sound good without the Resonant. I am picky when it comes to drum heads, of course I need the Resonants as long as I have the Batter heads. It's the only thing that can give me the sound that I need. I highly recommend the EMAD Resonant when you get the EMAD/EMAD 2 batter bass head.

Amazement
Ive been playing drums since i was 10. I was messing around on the drum set at my school one day and I couldn't figure out why the bass drum was making such a amazing sound, so i asked my director. He said the sound came from the head. I went out that evening and purchased it. That was about 10 months ago. I will never use a diffrent bass head as long as i live.
