I'm addicted to these things . . .

By

from Albuquerque, NM

Comments about Ernie Ball Thumb Picks:

It started when I decided I was a solo finger-style picker and found out my thumb wouldn't bend backward like some people's do. I tried a lot of different thumb picks. Most would grip my thumb so hard that the end began to turn blue. Others caught on the strings. I've since learned that I am not a solo finger-style picker, but now I can't play with anything else. They're not perfect; they're actually too pointy out of the box, but they can be rounded with fingernail clippers and a file into the perfect shape, which is that of a Fender jazz pick but one that doesn't fall on the floor when you let go of it for a minute. I mostly flat pick with them, but I can also pinch off staccato chords, even five-fingered ones, that are a great alternative to strummed chords. Maybe someday they'll make a signature model for me with a rounder point, but these are still the only really useful thumb picks I've found.

Good Picks.

By

Comments about Ernie Ball Thumb Picks:

I'm pretty upset that the colors are random. My favorite color is black, and my least favorite is yellow, so of course more of the picks I got were yellow... But they work great and stay well on your thumb. I'm a teenage girl, and size small works perfect for me. I wouldn't go large unless you have huge man hands.

My favorite Pick

By

from Virginia Beach, Virginia

Comments about Ernie Ball Thumb Picks:

I found this hoping it would work better for me than a regular pick, AND IT DOES! it works great and last long. as a regard to its sizes, i have smaller hands and the large was a pretty good fit. I would only use mediums if you are a girl, or a child, most men should buy the large. And even if you get your size isn't right, its all good! because they are inexpensive! my only issue with them is that as thick as they are, the tip eventually wears down after playing for awhile. That really affects me because i expect it to be a certain length and find myself missing strings from time to time. But the pack comes with several, so it takes awhile, but you will find yourself buying more, depending on how much you play. But other than that, this would have to be my favorite pick

Best Thumbpcik ever made!

By

from El Paso, Tx

Comments about Ernie Ball Thumb Picks:

I am so glad that I own the Ernie Ball thumbpick because it is simply the best thumbpick ever made. If you don't have one I recomend you get one. Even if you use a regular pick, you should atleast try a thumbpick because it adds such a wider variety of playing styles to your guitar playing. The reason I like the Ernie Ball thumbpicks are because the picks have not too short, but not too long tips and it is not such a thick pick. Therefore, the picks are essential for fast picking styles. I recomend this pick to any guitarist! Ernie Ball is always a great buy.
