These StrapLocks are simply amazing. They're built very tough, and they look great. I've used Schaller Strap Locks and DiMarzio Cliplock Straps for years but have had problems in the past with the Schallers coming loose and nearly dropping my guitar in the process. When I found out about these, I had to have a set to put on my JP6. These are very sturdy and secure and look nice too. If you're thinking about getting Strap Locks, give these a go, you may just like them.

After 10 months of use the neck side sprap lock "blew up". It completely fell apart. The 2 small centerpunched pegs that hold it together released and my Les Paul Standard hit the floor. I would not recommend these strap locks. After all we buy strap locks to keep our guitars from hitting the floor. These did not live up to that expectation.

Great Strap Lock... Easy And Reliable

By Alex

from Weymouth

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

The Ernie Ball Strap Locks Very easy to install, took less than 3 minutes. The lock holds the guitar very securely. There is no way that is is going to drop. The push-button, quick-release is just brilliant. As secure as it is, you can take the strap off just as easily. Great design, great look, extremely easy to use. Definitely a Must Have if you don't want to drop your precious guitar. I used it on my American Deluxe Stratocaster... it came with the Schaller Guitar Strap Locks but I lost it unfortunately... This Ernie Ball is a perfect replacement and Cheaper too... It is very well crafted.... made in USA. Highly recommended.

Awesome product, but beware of one draw back:

By Rockah Rollah Man

from Smithtown, NY

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

ok, so after working without these and suffering 3 or 4 guitar accidents, for a few months (like the idiot I am sometimes) I finally decided it was time to step up the protection of my investment (Dean Razorback. So I bought these locks knowing Ernie Ball tends to have some of the best stuff out there. I got these and they're amazing- it's a little psychologically hard to adjust to the thought that your guitar is hanging on two pins but once you get over that then it's great- only thing was in order to get the lock on the neck part of my guitar, I had to grind down the head of the factory screw instead of using the ones given because it was a neck screw and the head was too wide. so if you get ANY strap locks I'd say get the ones from good ol' Uncle Ernie, but you may need some light modification.

Work Great! Solid Protection!

By David

from Tuscaloosa, AL

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

Very functional and sharp looking. I chose the black for my Les Paul and was pleasantly surprised that the Ernie Ball logo was written in gold instead of white, which looks really sharp. Had to use the original guitar screws, the ones in the box didn't work to well.

works well, needs a little xtra

By Terry B.

from Bartlesville, Ok

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

OK, I love these locks, the pins are very solid, easy to remove when you want to, and the gold ones look great with a gold trimmed guitar----but, I gave it 4 stars because it does require a little extra in the installation. The screw supplied was a little smaller diameter then the originals on my Epiphone flying V, and the original screw was a little too large to fit the head of the lock, so I set the head with the new screw and a dab of super epoxy and let set overnight. I think they assume this is going to install on a new, never drilled guitar, and how often does that happen? Ernie Ball should have made the screw diameter larger, maybe courser thread and a touch longer for positive no epoxy neccisary installation.

Only strap lock i would want

By Mike

from Hopkinton, Ma

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I used the normal stock ones at first and it fell off and dented the guitar. I got these and they work amazingly well. They dont have a button that can get accidently hit. Or slip off. The two recessed side buttons have to be pressed down at the same time so if you are throwing the guitar around and can somehow manage to do that then thats amazing. Kind of long screws though a little scary to put in to a brand new guitar i had to really crank down to put them in.

Great Product

By Mark

from Amarillo, TX

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

This is the way to go no question about it. Easy to install, easy to use, easy on the eyes. Oh by the way your guitar/bass will stay locked and secure on these strap locks...and of course that's the main goal with this purchase.

Big and Lunky

By Mike

from North Beach, Md

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I bought these because of the decent reviews. They were designed stronger with serious metal...ect. Well they are made seriously strong however...they are BIG. I meant the circumference will definately get your attention, sticking out from the cut away tip of my Strat and not in a good way..at least to my taste. But worse, the two tabs on each side of that bulbous head that must be depressed together to get a good lock and release stick. I worked them alot and even put some graphite on them but they would still on occassion stick on me. Maybe it was because they were new or I just happened to get a bad set..I dunno. Now they're sitting in my used junk bin. I bought a set of Schaller type from Renegade and they look great and worked first time-everytime. Good Luck All

The BEST Locks:

By Zeeb

from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I've used many different strap locks over the years, and these are the best so far. Once installed, you feel very secure in knowing that your guitar isn't going to hit the ground. I'm on my third set now, absolutely great!

Blow Up

By Robert McCoy

from PGH, PA

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I really did some homework on strap locks and these ?were the ones? based on construction, price, and ?infallibility?. Boy was I wrong on the third account. I had them for 10 months now and last night I was playing and the lock on the front of my Les Paul Standard ?BLEW UP?!! The 2, center punched posts that hold the device together ?FAILED? and my $2,500 baby hit the floor. Words can?t express how I feel, and Ernie Ball will not get another sale from me for any of their products based on this failure of a strap lock.

Perfect

By mike

from MA

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

These strap locks feel solid and secure, they have a 360 degree hold, a nice look to them for any guitar. The only issue is the screw can be too big or too small for your current strap button screw holes. I have an ESP FM200 The screws were about the right thickness but they were a little too long, and i really cranked them down to get them in all the way, it made a creaking wood sound (but my guitar is fine so...) Otherwise perfect for what you need them for.

Great security for your guitar

By Cisco Sinz

from San Fernando, CA

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I had a generic strap that came w/ my guitar and it was known to slip off so i took heed of that immediately and found these. I was able to simply remove the existing buttons, even was able to use the screws it already had since they were black and looked great w/ the chrome. Went ahead and purchased a nice new strap. The lock onto the strap easily, and feel very secure. The locks, you simply have to make sure it's inserted fully into the button and they really feel very secure. I have no worries bout them slipping out. Great product.

sweet

By Larry

from indy

Comments about Ernie Ball Super Locks:

I tried schaller, proline, both wanted to twist the strap when you tightened them. Proline put a wimpy 3/4" chinese screw to hold the mount onto the guitar. I don't think so! I have Gibsons and Taylors, " I need a remedy for what is ailing me ya see!" It takes 2 movements (a squeeze on each side to unlock). They look good and do what they're supposed to. EB does need to come up with a system to put on Taylor acoustic electrics. For now I buy Taylor straps because they're made to fit tight on the bottom plug in. Then put a EB strap lock on the body/neck. One is better than none!!

This is a great product only problem was the photo online doesn't explain that it's a pair of strap locks and the photo only shows one. When I spoke to the customer service representative on the phone she told me it only came with one lock so I ordered two and now have an extra set. Not exactly accurate
