It is kind of awkward writing a review about a pick, but I can say that these picks are great. I play a Fender medium usually, but when I tried these (I was curious what they were like since I play super slinky strings) I decided there is a difference in picks. They are durable so when I frequently leave them in my pockets they stand against the washing machine, and the rarely break my strings. They are great, but I must say their features are lacking... :)

I played with Ernie Ball picks for a few months before I found out what I was missing. A friend of mine from Arkansas sent me half a dozen Dunlop Tortex Yellow picks and I was simply blown away. Ernie Ball picks are average...better than Clayton, better than Fender, better than ordinary no-name picks, but I find that they break to easily and they aren't the best on your guitar tone. Do yourself a favor and buy a dozen Dunlop Tortex.

Comments about Ernie Ball Celluloid Mixed Color Guitar Pick - 2 Dozen:

I started out using Ernie ball picks back in the 80s. I loved the pink ones which I have not seen in years.I like lighter colors because they are easier to find on a dark stage. These were a bargain so I had to get them.

Comments about Ernie Ball Celluloid Mixed Color Guitar Pick - 2 Dozen:

For years i've used Fender 351's but the last time i bought a dozen I found 5 bad ones and have heard others say the same. Never tried Ernie Ball picks but everything else made by E.B. has never let me down so since the name was on them I bought the 2 doz. pack and out of 2 doz. not one bad and found 5 bad in ONE doz. fenders so never going back. Hooked on E.B.'s and they're the same shape as the 351's.

Comments about Ernie Ball Celluloid Mixed Color Guitar Pick - 2 Dozen:

These picks last forever. I bought these in a store cause I had a gig that night and was going through a pick or two a set (I play hard and have poor picking technique) WOW was I amazed. The pick lasted the whole show and then some.

These are some pretty average picks.. not too flimsy not too stiff.. (The Mediums). the only thing above average is that they give you 24 of them. i cant seem to find anything cheaper.

Ordered wrong but still worth it

          By Neema Velasco

Comments about Ernie Ball Celluloid Mixed Color Guitar Pick - 2 Dozen:

I ordered this product about 2 and half weeks ago and it came last week. I owned Ernie Ball medium picks back home but I decided to buy more. I ordered the thin picks cause I thought that was what I previously had. Made the wrong order but still it was fine. I would recommend buying the medium picks. It has a good grip and durability. And its a great price for 24 picks! Oh and mine only came with 3 colors, Sky Blue, Red and Black. I was hoping for the ones showed in the image above but..oh well.

          Great tone and grip

Comments about Ernie Ball Celluloid Mixed Color Guitar Pick - 2 Dozen:

As some others have noted, these picks do wear more rapidly than other brands. But they are less than $.20 a piece, so who really cares? The key issue is performance. After trying every pick manufactured by man, I have been using the EB heavies for about six months now. To my ear, they produce the best tone (especially on my acoustic) and they are really, really easy to hang onto. They basically stick to your fingers. For my playing, the heavies work great for both strumming and picking. For a great all around pick that sticks to your fingers, try the EBs.
