Overview

Ernie Ball Coated Slinky electric guitar strings combine the latest technological advancements in string manufacturing. All wound strings are treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that prevents decay and corrosion up to five times more than uncoated sets. In addition to treating the wound strings, each plain string features a rust-resistant plating along with a patented reinforcement winding of titanium wire. Titanium's inherent strength prevents string breakage, string slippage, and is proven to keep your guitar strings in tune better than conventional plain strings. Ernie Ball Coated Slinky guitar strings maintain the feel and sound of uncoated sets, combining the added protection with the vibrant tone Ernie Ball musicians have relied on for over 50 years.

All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and the most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.

Ernie Ball is a pioneer of rock and roll guitar strings. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, and Slash are among the long list of Slinky players.

Gave these titanium strings a try last year and now they are all I use. The maintain their sound for a long time, never break and sound great!

Good strings, but they do effect the tone.

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I have a Fender American Telecaster, which is, as most people know, made for loud, sharp tone. So I decided to try these strings because I was going to give Ernie Ball a chance (I usually use d'addario). I instantly realized once I put them on that the feedback was more prominent and the tone was more dull and muddy. If you play high gain or metal, or if you don't really listen/ care for tone this might be the string for you. Another thing is that these strings are lighter on the fingers because when I swapped back to d'addario just a couple days after installing these, it took a few minutes for my fingers to adjust back to the non-coated strings. These strings are still very slick, come in a cool package, and are still loved by many other players. It's up to the player, whatever makes you feel best. Pros: Easier for fingers to slide on, lasts longer, cool package. Con: Effects tone

Absolutely amazing

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I bought these form a local guitar center because they said they were coated in titanium, so I said "what the heck?" and bought them. almost 2 years later the high E string finally snapped but thats beside the point. The have a really long stustainment in the note itself and the last a LONG time as well. Thanks Ernie Ball, you never cease to amaze me!!!

A Fine Set of Strings

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

They're slick and they stay in tune. I've been using Snake Oil Brand Strings for nearly eight years, but these have replaced those.

Clearly superior

By EP

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used the regular uncoated/non-titanium slinkys for what seems like forever. When I change strings, no matter how much care I put into them, the top three strings (the e, B, G strings) always seem to lose their nickel coating in about a week's time. I bought a pack of these titanium coated versions on a whim at my local GC. They are vastly superior to the normal slinkys at resisting dirt/oil/sweat. I've had my coated titanium pair for about 3 weeks now, and they're still shiny. I don't think I'll buy the normal slinkys ever again.

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Really like these strings. They stand out above the other coated brands I've tried. They're really smooth to play, they bend really well and there tone is consistent.

These strings are so good, you wonder why they're just released

By Rocker

from flushing michigan

Comments about Ernie Ball 3123 Coated Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings:

Man, I am a big fan of superslinky's, as they can do it all. From dropped tunings as low as drop a, they still hold tone well and play good. These strings are much stronger than average super slinky's which is quite an achievement. The tone they give is a little brighter and longer lasting, and the Da'darrio XL strings show you just how good these strings are in a comparison. I have never played a set of strings that loves bending and tremelo use so much.
