These Strings are Pretty Nice. I like them. I use them with a Fender US Highway One Jazz Bass. I get a nice tone. These strings are your basic roundwound strings. They are really common. These Strings are a good buy, especially if you dont know what kind of strings to get.

I bought these strings on sale, as a replacement for the Rotosounds that have been on my bass the past 15 yrs. After one practice session, I absolutely hate how sloppy these strings feel. Sound is OK. The strings are a little noisier than what I'm used to from all the slop associated with the slinkiness. I probably won't be keeping these strings on for too much longer.

A great bass string!!!!!

By MIKE CAMPBELL

from Toledo, OH

These string are nickel rounds. They have a nice warm tone, are really punchy, and have growl for days! The string feels really smooth on your hands. These strings are the longest lasting nickel string that have used, retaining their freshness, and bright tone for weeks! These strings work very well for the different styles of playing and genres of music. If you haven't tried these strings yet and are looking for a great string with warm punchy tone and growl, give these a try. These strings are inexpensive and are just all around great! I think you will be satisfied.

Best Strings

By Jeff

from NY

I've not only used the regular slinkys, but the hybrid ones and the ones in the pink package (the name escapes me). Now these strings, in my opinion, are the best ones out there for guitar and bass. Reasons being that for starters, they last forever, i could keep mine on for a whole year if i wanted, but i like to change it up. These strings produce a great sound, and compared to almost all of the the GHS strings i've tried on my Jazz bass (and are supposedly better) they dont last nearly as long and dont sound nearly as good. I play ALOT, practice and do alot of gigging, and i couldnt be more happier, satisfied, and assured that these strings will get me through everything i put them through, which is alot. They're good for any genre, from jazz to thrash metal, fingerstyle to playing with a pick, and are RELIABLE ( i cannot stress this enough) And even better, they're so cheap! The only thing i can recommend is that you try all the different packs until you find the ones that suit you. i prefer hybrids, and thats after trying them all out. So go get a pack of these and try them, you wont be dissapointed. and if you're a beginner, never compare new strings to the factory ones you get out of the box! the factory ones may feel and sound good, but they are really of poor quality.

Makes a cheap bass sound great!

By DerTeufel

from Wildomar, CA

I put these on a Squier Affinity P-bass after figuring out that the strings that came on it really suck and go out of tune really quickly. I bought a set of these and am blown away by how much better my bass sounds.

awesome, 'nough said

By Joey Mcfly

from Lyndhurst, NJ

as a bassist I need a set of strings I can rely on when I hit the stage. I have to KNOW that whenever I hit the stage those strings aren't gonna give out on me, and produce quality sound time and time again. Ernie Ball Brand Bass Strings are the best, no matter what gauge you get, you're getting the best of the best, I usually don't have to consider changing them for almost up to a year. Regular slinky is my brand of choice, and I love em to death, great choice for active players that want versatility without strain or strings that are TOO small a gauge.

Not the best strings I've played

By Nicky

from Chesapeake, Virginia

I was playing my Geddy Lee signature Jazz Bass during my band practice, and my G string randomly broke. My cheap backup bass had the G string from this pack, so I put it on my Jazz Bass. Whenever I was moving from one string to another, any note on the G string just messed me up completely. It was way too bright, and sounded really cheap. I don't know what is wrong with these strings, because they sound way too bright for a bass, and the strings that already come on a fender sound better.

Decent Strings!!

By Edwin H.

from Bakersfield, CA

When my "stock" strings started to wear out I decicided I needed new ones so I did a little research to see which strings are good. I saw these strings and decided to try them out. I tried these and was just blown away. These strings sounded way better than my older ones when they were new. These strings give you that warm sound you want. These strings are excellent for slap/pop techniques. Your fingers can easily glide across frets with ease. You get clarity with these strings. If you want an awsome set of strings go for this pack. Don't hold back!!

Ernie Ball Regular

By Devon

from Goffstown, NH

I Went through a pretty decent search on strings until i finally decided to try out Ernie Ball strings. For some reason i was never attracted to them, i was always a D'addario kind of person, but now that I've tried these, I don't think I'll be getting a different type of string. I've had them on my bass for about a month and a half now, and they still sound like i just put them on. They get great tone, and the higher strings (D, G) Aren't so wimpy you cant hear them.

Just what you'd expect

By Andrew

from North Carolina

These strings are run-of-the-mill strings for a 4-string bass. Nice quality Easy to use A bit goofy for me after putting them on there (I was playing with nasty old rusty strings, so it threw me off because the sound was way different) Good strings for a decent price.

Absolutely Stunning.

By Alex Kenyon

from america

I got my first bass guitar about 6 months ago, and my original strings were not nearly up to par, breaking in about a month. My friend showed me Ernie Ball's Roundwound strings, and i simply fell in love. They are durable enough to take a beating from an aggressive slap-pop-punk-funk player (me) but also produce a great vibrant sound with an excellent punch to the string. These are great quality strings, and are excellent for beginner or advanced players.
