Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings are round-wound for maximum clarity and serious punch. The Cobalt Series is clearly an improvement on its classic nickel-wound counterpart giving the player increased sustain, clarity and output. In addition, they resist sweat and moisture better and have unmatched flexibility when compared to other nickel wound strings. Cobalt is the most magnetically active string alloy on the planet and attracts the magnets in your pickups more than any other string.

"Ernie Ball Cobalt Bass Strings are the new standard! Bigger, better tone, sustain and volume. Finally a real innovation with strings." - Randy Jackson
"I can't believe how much low end I get out of Ernie Ball Cobalt Bass Strings. Also, the high end is super crisp, seemingly with more definition. Unbelievable." - Dave Larue

All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and the most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance and long life. Made in the USA.

I don't want to admit it, but.....

Comments about Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings:

I've been using halfwound strings for years. Only because I love the low lows and a decent high they have to offer. I was talked into these ones by a friend, knowing I wouldn't like them. I put them on and within two weeks I struggled to admit that I love them. They have solid low's and clean crisp high's. These will probably be the strings I use for the rest of my bass playing career.... or until something better comes along.

As advertised

Comments about Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings:

These strings have been described as having increased volume, punch and low end and I have to say thats an understatement. Makes regular strings seem wimpy. As far as how long they last, that remains to be seen. Had them on for a week so far playing every day and I've not seen any difference in tone and feel. Two thumbs up!

Corrosion, corrosion, corrosion...

By Van Lee

from Jackson, MS

Comments about Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings:

I was talked into buying these strings about a month ago by a sales associate at the Guitar Center in Jackson, Ms. Said they were the best strings Earnie Ball had to offer. I can now say that I disagree. I love Earnie Ball strings, don't get me wrong, but these are by far the worst I have purchased. I had them on for two weeks and played on them five times. Put my bass in its case after every session. Within a week, I started noticing that they were gaining rust. Dispite the fact that I cleaned them. By the time the second week came, they looked like they had been left in the rain for months. I don't recommend these strings to anyone. The steel and nickel strings, yes, buy those. I love them. But these new cobalt strings are a waste of money. Thankfully my local Guitar Center took care of me and gave me a free pack of strings when I showed them the wear and tear they had gained over a course of two weeks. I'll say again, don't buy these strings. You will be disappointed.

Best String's I've Used

By Zachary Salant

from New York, NY

Comments about Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings:

I'll be honest and say that I was a little skeptical about these strings when I first saw the video. I read into it a little more and I was being more and more convinced. That was a Monday, the Wednesday I went out and bought them. After putting them on and playing them for a bit, I can definitely say that they are much better than either the nickel or stainless steel strings. They should brighter, the output is much higher, and they feel a lot more comfortable right off the bat then the other 2 do. But of course the video already told you that. So I'm just here to reaffirm you that the video says it all. GET THESE STRINGS

Wow

By Jeffery Wallace

from Plano,Texas

Comments about Ernie Ball 2732 Cobalt Regular Slinky Electric Bass Strings:

I was dubious, but swapped my usual Dunlop Stainless Steels out for the Regular Slinky Cobalts on my Mike Lull MV4. Immediately noticed a difference. Stronger lows, better definition, better defined harmonics and virtually no break in. We'll see how they sound after losing some of the new zing, but so far I'm impressed. At this point, I would say the hype is true.
