Ernie Ball 2722 Cobalt Hybrid Slinky Electric Strings are a perfect match for those who like the ability to combine the combination of Super and Regular Slinkys. The Cobalt Series is clearly an improvement on its classic nickel-wound counterpart giving the player increased sustain, clarity and output. In addition, they resist sweat and moisture better and have unmatched flexibility when compared to other nickel wound strings. Cobalt is the most magnetically active string alloy on the planet and attracts the magnets in your pickups more than any other string.
"Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings sound and feel better than anything I've ever played! You have to check these out!" - Slash.
"Cobalt Strings feel incredibly silky under my fingers and deliver more punch, output, and clarity than normal strings!" - John Petrucci.
"There's a certain degree of clarity and punch you get from Cobalt Strings that I haven't heard tonally from any other strings I've played." - Joe Bonamassa.
All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and the most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance and long life. Made in the USA.

I bought a pack of these one day about a year or so ago, and i will never use another type of string again. 110% worth the 10 bucks. I warn you, you will have to keep spending 10 bucks on a restring because these are the best!
I have just now tried the new Cobalt strings(9to46). I love the strings I have from the Ernie Ball company so far, they come in a seal pack and look good inside...no rust,etc.. I don't know all the tech. stuff, I just know that these strings have a better sound than the super slinky that I was using !! VERY GOOD !!!
I just put these on my Ibanez Artcore. I am always trying to get the most out of my guitar. I play through a Vox AC4TV 4W 1x10. I usually play D&R Highbeams just to get that extra punch for that classic hard rock sound. The pickups on the Artcore are not as hot as others so they need a little help...I played these this morning at a worship service. Wow!!!!..I started playing and the sound was over the top. The clean was punchy and clear(very clear)and also warm. I was amazed, then turning on my Fulltone Fulldrive they became monsters. The tone reminded me of the sound i got from having active pickups and harmonics are amazing, the feel is just like it says "they are like butter" you just have to try them. I have found my strings from now on. For the price Try Them!!! These strings rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just changed my strings and these really lived up to all the hype. I actually noticed an increase in clarity and volume and my previous strings were still fairly new and clean. In the grand scheme of things I would say there were well worth the few extra bucks as long as the durability claims end up being true as well.
