I keep coming back to these string... I've tried various other brands, DR, Dunlop, Dean Markley, etc., but I keep coming back to these. I've been using them for about 3 years now and have yet to break a single string. That's the main issue I have with every other string that I've tried. Within 1 to 2 weeks of re-stringing, with every other brand I've tried, I end up breaking at least one string and sometimes multiples. Sound is good and the tone lasts as long as any other that I've tried.

They sound nice when you first get them on. However, when I used these strings they started to break and didn't even last for more than two months. The only reason I got rid of my old ones was because they were just too worn, but they never broke. Do not buy these strings unless you intend on paying for another set soon.

The best mother pluckin' strings...

By 'Dullboy' Martin

from Warren, Michigan

Comments about Ernie Ball 2221 Nickel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:

...I have been using EB 10's for years and years, and I have tried TONS of different strings. NO strings sound or play like EB's, straight outta the package. Great thumping low tones, ringin' highs, and barkin' mids. They are very durable, and the fresh tone lasts a long time. I play a lot of blues and rock, and these have been...and always WILL be the only strings I trust to give me my signature tone. Just look on the back of the package...there is a reason why all those axe wielders use Ernie Ball strings, people. Tried and true.

your just plain ignorant if you dont play ernies

By Nick

from Chesterfield, VA

Comments about Ernie Ball 2221 Nickel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:

ive used ernies ever since i started guitar 4 years ago.. nothing compares. once i tried a different brand, and once i hit the first bar chord, i hated them. so i quickly went back to eb. also, ive never broke an ernie string, not even ONCE! they last long, and are great for every type of music, ecspecially if you play metal. they give a nice crunchy, thrashy tone. i think ill be playing these for years and years to come

Get these!

By AlexM

Comments about Ernie Ball 2221 Nickel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:

I've used different brand strings at different gauges, all with the same result. The first string would always break, or they didn't sound good. So I decided to try these and I couldn't be happier, not only do they sound great, but they feel great, and more importantly they have not broken. I"m now a Ernie Ball user for life. No matter what your style, what guitar you use. These strings are a must have.

    Old Friends...

    By Carlton Buehrer

    from Longboat Key, FL

Comments about Ernie Ball 2221 Nickel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:

Tried them all over the past ~40 years and many of them are really good. Seem to always come back to EB strings though - these in particular. Usually buy the 12 packs. Only the gauge I use has gone up from 8's to 10's. Price is always pretty much the same. I find them extremely dependable, harmonically outstanding, and they wear very well. I'll usually replace a full set every other stringing (usually twice a week) with the 10, 13, and 17's in between (which can be purchased in sets of 6 ea.). Use 'em on Strats, Teles, & LP's now, but many others in the past. Great strings, great store. Buy 'em!

Awesome strings. Out of six sets I only broke one string. They have a great tone and sound sweet even without an amp.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2221 Nickel Regular Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack:

These strings have such a great tone. The thicker three strings sound so much better than many other strings I've used, and the thinnest three strings are still easy to bend for players who like to solo. I would highly recommend!
