My favorite string, again!

By Mike

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings (3-Pack):

Several years ago the only strings I would use were Earthwoods. But, like half my friends, I went to the coated strings when they first came out. I used them for a long time until I got tired of the way they sounded. They just didn't sound the was Earthwoods did. When you had the Labor day sale I bought six sets and promptly put them on 6 of my guitars. It was like seeing an old friend. I miss the way these sounded and I really believe I'm back for a long while. I can buy 3 sets of these for what it costs for one set of coated ones. One set of those strings won't sound as good and definitely last as long as Earthwoods. Thanks for putting them on sale. I forgot what I was missing.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings (3-Pack):

I've been using these strings on my acoustics for a while now (even the 12-string version). These have great tone, sparkly yet round and full balanced. I've also tried other brands. I would highly recommend these.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings (3-Pack):

I've been playing Seagull (Canadian hand-crafted) guitars for 8 years and no other stringsh compare with the brilliance of Earthwoods. I've tried a lot of different strings over the past 25 years. The smooth bass, chiming mids, and glistening highs from the 2003's are exceptionally pleasing. They aren't coated so you'll need to change strings more often but I'll take a great sound any day over any strings with polyurethane coating on them. (BTW - I tune 1/2 step down for better bends and vibrato). .

Too heavy and they sound dull. I like Martin strings much better.
