I have been playing guitar for 4 years now and have been using these strings for 3. They sound awesome whatever genre you play and guitar you play. These strings sound clear, bright, and bring out that woody tone in my guitar, they last long provide great volume and great bends, I use these on my acoustic and electric acoustic and trust me people at shows tell me my guitar sounds awesome and clean. I got all my friends hooked on em and once you try them so will you. Not just do they sound amazing 5 particularly think they smell good when you open em HAHA!

I've been playing guitar for 7 years now and for the past two years, I've been using the same Elixirs because they just lasted me that long with good sound. The last month or so though, the sound started to become dull and my strings were really starting to become dark so I told myself I'll try something new for the New Years so I went with these strings. First impression is that they feel so cheap compared to the Elixirs. (Yeah, I know it's three times cheaper too) They squeak a lot when sliding. The strings feel dry. The sound is just mediocre as well. At least they don't sound dull. I play them on my Fender. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Going back to Elixirs once a string pops or they become dull. I guess they're good for practice strings.

    Beautiful Tone

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings:

I play a Seagull acoustic with a cedar top and a Breedlove with a spruce top. Ernie Ball Earthwoods make each guitar sound like an orchestra. I have tried many different strings over the years and I wish the newer coated strings worked for me but they just don't sound as good. It's worth it to me to change strings more often to get the beautiful tone these strings produce. Keep in mind that string tone varies by person, by guitar, and by playing technique. But this is one you might want to try. You just might be impressed. It's not unusual for people to think my guitar brands are what makes my acoustics sound so brilliant and full. The undertones and overtones are amazing.

I forgot how much i loved these strings.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings:

I used to use these strings a long time ago. Then coated strings came along and I had the "acidic touch", meaning I could kill a set of strings just by playing them, so I played them until I got tired of that muffled sound they have. I had a job that forced me to wash my hands 30-40 times a day. Short story no acidic touch anymore. So I tried a few sets of several different brands of uncoated strings. I love medium lights and I used another brand for a few years. Then the Earthwoods were on sale and I bought 6 sets. I put them on my Yamaha A3R and it was like I went back 25 years. These strings felt so good on my guitar and they stayed in tune immediately. They will definitely be on my Yamaha dread and my Takamine herringbone indefinitely. I remember I could play for hours and never have sore fingers. Trust me. These strings are the real deal and inexpensive. Buy a few sets, you'll be glad you did.

    Stick with D'Adddario

    By

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings:

Ernie ball makes great electric guitar strings, and i will use no other. But their acoustic strings made my gibson j45 sound thin and cheap. I went back to the D'Addario phospher bronze (which is what ive used for the past 20 years) and the warm rich tone returned. Do yourself a favor and string up some D'Addarios. There is a big difference, and you wont be disappointed.

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings:

i slapped these guys on my taylor about an hour before an acoustic set, they held perfect tune, increased the volume of the guitar, and even boosted the bass on the guitar, which is hard to find strings that do that for taylors. they replaced martin sps which replaced elixers due to price

    Solid

Comments about Ernie Ball 2003 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Light Acoustic Strings:

The tone is solid. I just replaced my nano Elixir strings with these. The Elixirs sounded great, but the Earthwood make my guitar sound better. If I have to change them out more often than the Elixirs that would be fine since the cost is extremely reasonable for the sound that I'm getting.
