  • Awesome, when used correctly...

As reviewed by J.J. Barnett on 6/12/2010

I think that Ernie Ball makes the smoothest volume pedals around. The taper is so nice. You have a very musical volume control for swells or clipped decays. If you haven't used one of their pedals, then you really need to try one. You won't go back to any other pedal, I promise. For this pedal, as mentioned in the title, do have ONE caveat. This is a LOW IMPEDANCE pedal. You can not use this directly after the guitar or after a line of totally true bypass pedals that are not currently on. This pedal has to show up later in your effects chain, and it wants to see a low impedance input - you either have to have active pickups, be actively running a guitar effect, or running your signal through a pedal with buffered bypass. If your guitar goes in directly, you will probably muddy up your tone a little. That said, if you treat it right, it will treat YOU right.

I have had this pedal for years and it is a great pedal to have. i love the A and B in and outs works great to hook up 2 amps. volume swells sound amazing with this pedal because of the control you have.

  • Worth every penny...

As reviewed by Brandon on 5/20/2010

This is worth every dollar you spend on it; it sweeps well and does not distort the tone. If you are looking for a very reliable, sound efficient volume pedal THAT WORKS IN STEREO, this is the one you are looking for. The way these pedals are built mean they are built to last.
