Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Unlined Fretless Bass:

Great bass for the money. Important to note that it has a very rich tone, great for a low key full body sound. Not really designed for soloing. Ships with roundwounds, which is annoying as they will destroy the fretboard. Should ship with some decent ernie ball flatwounds, and i definitely recommend restringing as soon as you get it. Roundwounds are unnecessary for its intended use anyways. Also, g string has buzz up around 12th fret and needs some adjusting. Lost a star due to these two gripes, but otherwise a solid and very fun bass.

Sweeeet

By Chris Buzzard

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Unlined Fretless Bass:

I recieved my order, and was very pleased with the immediate playability of the Stingray. It has been hard to put it down. The action is superb, from the headstock to the body. The rosewood fingerboard is beautiful, as well as very functional. It allows for a smooth slide from the first fret, all the way down the neck, without loosing any tone quality. I would definately recommend this bass to any enthusiast Very satisfied. Buzzy

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Unlined Fretless Bass:

Played many bass guitars in my time. The Sting Ray frettless very nice and smooth no clanks or rings nice low bottom very easy to use without the frets.just a little practice needed then your dead on.I strongly recomend it will take your Bass playing to next level. The price is good for the quality of the guitar. Thanks to Ernie Ball.PS you will need to get flat wound strings if you like to keep a nice fret board.

A great fretless

By ilikegibson

from Dallas, Texas

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Unlined Fretless Bass:

I was picked this bass up and plugged it into a Fender Bassman 2-10 combo. It had a very nice tone through that. The bass was very comfortable and looked pretty nice (I tend to like sunburst finishes more than anything else). I didn't mess around with the eq that much because it was already at a pretty good setting. I would reccomend this for anybody who is serious about the bass and can keep in tune without the frets. Fretless basses have a sound that fretted basses can't attain, and this bass is a great example of that sound.
