Guitarist Steve Lukather has been an endorser of Ernie Ball Music Man guitars for years with his own signature models that are no different than the ones he plays on stage. The Music Man Luke III HSS Electric Guitar represents Steve's further evolution towards the perfect performance guitar.
This run of the LIII features an alder body, a 22-fret full-roasted maple neck and new passive DiMarzio pickups with custom Music Man active preamp. Electronics include a 500kOhm passive tone control and a Volume control with a Push/Push switch for an adjustable Volume boost.
Similar in style, the Luke III exhibits a broader, more defined tone while retaining the familiar shape and feel as the original Luke model. Other standard features include a Music Man Vintage tremolo and 5-way pickup selector switch. Includes case.

Ok I am five foot four I have a bad back I wanted something that wouldn't wear me out to play it. I play heavy alternative music this guitar does all that and more. It works very well for my extremely bluesy solos. Plus its small it doesn't take a lot for the knife edge of my palm to rest on the bridge and still chunk away on an F bar chord. All the while I'm not holding a forty pound Les Paul. I would like a little bit hotter pick up in the Bridge but don't touch the rest of them HSS is my model with the all rosewood neck. I have a 54 L7 left to me by my father. My mother bought me this guitar. They will both be buried with me. Or I might let Chris Foster have them. Guitar Center in OP is lucky to have him. Stop by and ask him for a luke you wont be sorry.
