Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 7-String Electric Guitar:

This is a great quality guitar with excellent tone. The Piezo gives a convincing acoustic sound and the coil tap gives a really nice strat-esque sound. This guitar stays in tune really well for a guitar with a floating bridge when compared to a Floyd Rose and changing strings is a charm. If you are not a fan of wide necks or can't get used to it, this guitar is probably not for you if you are getting the 7 string version, if not then you're going to love this guitar if you get it. Just be prepared for the people who will ask if you sold your soul to get it haha.

My only complaint is that I would prefer if it used 1 9V battery instead of 3 AA batteries. But that's just a personal preference and isn't that big of a deal.

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Majesty 7-String Electric Guitar:

I play for my own amusement at home but like to buy quality if I can afford it. This is a VERY nice 7-string instrument and for those interested in playing 7-string Dream Theater guitar riffs as in "Bridges in the Sky" or "The Shattered Fortress", etc., this guitar will get you there (with practice, of course). The guitar has complex electronics and the piezo bridge offers an acoustic shimmer to clean playing if one is interested in that, but for those just wanting to rip on some metal tunes, that feature may not be all that useful. One disappointing feature with the bridge, at least from MY experience, is that it will not stay in tune if using the tremolo bar, even with the locking tuners and oiling the nut. Most reviews seen on this and similar EBMM guitars seem to have no problem with this feature. For me, I have had better experience with a locking nut guitar with a floating bridge versus one like this with the locking tuners. For now, I just lay off the tremolo bar with this instrument and stick to dive bombs on a six-string with a locking nut. Otherwise, great all-around guitar for 7-string playing, as well as six string tunes (if one can train themselves to ignore the visuals of the 7th low B string being there and the muscle memory from being used to playing on a six-string neck).
