Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

This guitar is as close to perfect as you will find in a production guitar. I absolutely recommend the Axis. I also own a JP Majesty and I love them both.

This is my third Axis and just couldn't be more happy. No other brand delivers the quality of the EB Music Man Axis for the price. Gorgeous looks, they always have the best maple tops, superb playability and excellent tone. It just doesn't get any better.

Do you know all those things you look on a guitar? Playability, tone, sustain and great looks? This beauty have it all! I'm still amazed by her balanced sound and feel. The dimarzio pickups are great, the body and the arm are amazing and just fits your body, plus, the hardshell case works great!

Perfect...It's that simple!

By Dan

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

Iۡve owned this guitar since ۡ98 or so and Iۡm still in love with it to this day! The neck is the most amazing component of this guitar. Iۡve played and owned many guitars since then yet I continue to comeback to this one. Iۡve gigged with this guitar for years and never had a problem. This DiMarzios can scream, cry and deliver a bright and loud tone. This truly is an amazing guitar. Canۡt wait to buy another.

best guitar ever

By Jeff

from lake zurich

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

This guitar is sweet. I have only played it once and it feels like I have had it my whole life. The neck is on the smaller side but plays great. The pickups are the best sounding pickups I have ever heard. Over all the guitar has become my best friend and I have played it only once or twice. Not only is it the best guitar on the market but it is played by the best guitar player of all time, Eddie Van Halen. A must have.

For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

By EVHEruption

from Honolulu, Hawaii

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

I have been a Van Halen fan for awhile and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge has always been my personal favorite album. Eddie recorded the album with his first ever EVH Signature guitar, made by Music Man. EVH left EBMM in 1995, but EBMM renamed the guitar as Axis. I got to play this guitar recently and boy was I surprised! The DiMarzio pickups are heaven sent and quite superior to any Seymour Duncan pickup I ever heard. It had the lows for classic DLR-ers riffs and the highs for any VH solos. I must admit though, the neck is quite simply the best neck ever, I've played Wolfs and while they sounded good, the neck just didn't feel right. The Axis's neck is narrow and quite the shredder. The single volume knob is quite unique, it felt as though it was adjusting multiple different knobs creating the thought that you only need this one knob. To summarize the Axis, I'll quote Ed's old Kramer ad: "It's quite simply the best guitar made today." Seriously, it truly is. If Ed used it, then so will I.

Amazing Guitar

By EVHfan23

from McKinney, TX

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

This guitar is absolutely amazing! The frets make it easy to bend, it has a Floyd Rose Bridge for divebombs and effects, and it has the perfect tone. The weight is spectacular, it's easy to hold and play and it is played by the greatest guitarist ever, Eddie Van Halen. I wish I could buy this guitar. EVH rules!

Excellent Guitar!

By hbucker

from Highlands Ranch, CO

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

I've owned the EVH version of this guitar since '93. The Axis is for all practicality, the same guitar. Same pickups and virtually identical body and neck. The two things I love about this guitar are the neck and it's pickups. The neck feels like it's been played and played and played the first time you pick it up. There is basically not break in period on this guitar. It feels like an old friend from the beginning. I will say that the neck is fairly narrow. So if you have large hands, it might be a problem. And I've never heard pickups quite like these. They are warm and hot but not muddy or distorted. Honestly, if you're not playing rock, they would do very well for Jazz in my opinion; very warm and smooth. If you play a high gain amp they do an amazing job of eliminating the fuzzzzz that can go along with high gain. They also retain their clarity well. Harmonics leap off the neck and the neck pickup is surprisingly expressive on all gain settings. Obviously, the Floyd kind of makes it a rock machine. But it is blocked (not floating) so you could use it like a non trem guitar if you choose. If you're looking for a slightly unconventional guitar that will feel like you're driving a Porsche, and sound just as good, check out the Axis.

The Ceaser of Guitars

By Dylan Elliott

from Burlington, VT

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Electric Guitar:

As soon as I picked up the axis, I was amazed by the feel, it was like I finally found something I had been searching for for all my life. The neck feels like one could blow on it and it would sound like Petrucci or Vai. My favorite part was the simplicity. Just a whammy, volume nob, and pickup switch. My only complaint is the look, Music Man would be considered the best guitars in the world if they weren't so freaking ugly. It's cliche to say that something isn't great because it looks bad, but we all know we're thinking it. Overall, it gets a 4.5.
