Don't judge a book by its cover

from Phoenix, AZ

I admittedly don't know much about Albert Lee, but I know he's an amazing guitarist and, after purchasing this, it's obvious he has impeccable taste in guitars. I've got a bunch of Fenders and Music Man guitars, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite. I love, love, love the all rosewood neck. It is easily the most comfortable and smooth neck I've ever played -- and that's what I thought about my EB Axis and Luke -- Ernie Ball just finishes guitar necks like no other. The P-90s are a real treat too. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they've got amazing bite and really deliver just about any sound you're looking for -- and totally hum-free. This sounds more Strat-like than any of my Strats and it's so lightweight and comfortable to play. The black finish is really sleek and the Pearloid pickguard adds a nice touch of class. I wasn't sold on the looks -- it's a little funky for my tastes, but I was intrigued by the pickup configuration and honestly, once I picked it up, I never wanted to put it down. This is a truly versatile guitar that sounds equally great through my G-DEC 30, Deville 4x10 or '65 Twin Reissue. I highly recommend this guitar, despite its unusual looks because once you get past that, you'll never look at it the same way again.
