Ernie Ball power slinky bass strings are definitely one of the best bass strings that i have ever had. First of all the strings come individually wrapped so you don't get them mixed up when putting them on. They have an excellent sound all around. They work great with a pick (I always play with a pick) and my friend uses them and he plays with fingers, and they sound great for that also. In addition they also have great stability in drop c, which i use occasionally. However they do get kinda tight in standard and even drop d, and for that reason i think i might prefer the Ernie Ball Regular Slinky, but these are still amazing, and the 2 pack really saves money. This 2 pack at Guitar Center is the same price as just buying 1 set at my local music store! Ernie Ball never fails to impress!
My bassist uses these, and i use these on my personal bass. Perfect sound to me, great low end and punchy sound. Red Hot Chilly Pepper sound with my Fender Jazz bass. Excellent product.
