I got these strings the other day for my drop A 4 strings ray34 bass. I had thought originally that my amp was shot because when i played it, it sounded terrible. BUT, after putting these strings on they brought my bass back to live. Although these strings are for a five string the salesman at gc suggested I get bigger strings to handle such low tuning. The 135 mm sounds Amazing and I cant think of any downfalls these strings have. Also on my old strings the E overpowered my A a lot but now since I have a 105 as my A I can get those notes as at an even level. I definitely recommend getting these strings if you play in lower tunings.
