    These are what I consider the perfect strings. The thicker low strings allow for strong power chords or whatever else is needed, and the high strings are just thin enough for easy bends for soloing. Not only that, but the strings are high enough quality that they will not snap in the middle of a crucial solo.

  • My New Favorites

    I'd used GHS, D'Addario, and Dean Markley, and they'd all left me a little wanting. Finally, I figured I might as well try something new. I was attracted to these strings basically because of the guages, which I find to be perfect for comfort and playability, but then when I put them on my guitar I was blown away. I didn't know that strings can sustain like these did! They're not as trebly-sharp as D'Addarios, and not as dull sounding as GHS, but rather a happy medium that just sounds amazing. I've had this set on for about two months now, and they are still going strong. I mostly play in standard, but I'll occasionally drop D, and these strings have handled them both marvellously. Just out of curiosity, I even tuned to C# for some good ol' Sabbath, and the Balls took it beautifully. These are my new favorite strings.

  • The Best Strings Out There

    Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys are undoubtedly the best strings on the market today. I refuse to use another, as these are just truly the best I've ever used. The gauge is just right, not too thick, not too thin. I've never had one break on me. They are just thick enough to allow rhythm playing with no problems, but just thin enough to play lead. Bends are no problem for these strings, and won't snap unless you bend them to the extreme. The Hybrids last for quite a while and stand up to a lot of long hours of playing. They have excellent sound, clean or distorted. They have a great feel, too. These are the strings I recommend to any guitarist.
