I use to use GHS Boomers, then a good friend suggested I try EB's...that was about 3-4 years ago. Since then, nothing but EB is used on my guitars, and if you are an active musician then you know how important reliable strings are. there is nothing worse than breaking a string during gig and I have yet to break an Ernie Ball string. I run .010's on all my electrics and EB 2151 hybrids on my acoustics. Ernie Ball strings can really take a beating. I play hard and fast most of the time so the strings really get abused. Pitch bends, dive bombs or just really slamming them they have always held tone and have never let me down...they won't let you down either.

  • Awesome Strings!

As reviewed by Josiah Ragland on 9/20/2009

I love Ernie Ball strings. They have great tonal quality and give u a nice solid sound. I mean seriously, why else would Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy use these strings?

  • Best Electric Strings On the Market

As reviewed by George Graziano on 9/18/2009

Personally, I love Ernie Ball strings. They feel fantastic, and are tonally exactly what I look for in a string. The new packaging has been a great boost to the longevity of the strings, and referring to the review below - these strings are great for blues. The person obviously doesnt know what Slinky means. Slinky doesnt mean treble. Clapton, Mayer, Buddy Guy all use them for blues and dont seem to have fits. Ernie Ball strings are awesome IMO.
