These strings i chose because i wanted something stronger than the basic strings. The tone is much deeper, stronger. I can't wait to be better so i can put these to good use with songs like Dammit and Fat Lip. Yes, i'm a Blink 182 fan. That aside, they're very well packaged. I had no problem sliding them in. They are thicker, however, so it is a lil trickier gettin' them to settle in place when first inserting into the tuners. Note to new users, since they are thicker, you may have to raise the bridge or the individual saddles. I had to do this on my 6th and 5th string and slightly on the 4th or the strings would hum on the frets. Once i did that, they play great. Keep in mind, they are thicker strings so you really have to have strong fingers to put them to full use.
I don't use too many different tunings, but everything that I've used from Standard to Drop C has worked perfectly. They are easy to bend, but stay in place and in tune. I just can't say enough good things about them. At the very least buy a single pack and just try them out.
This strings i picked up over the weekend for 3 bucks a pack!!! what a deal!! so i bought like 20 thinking they be alright. I went home slaped them on my SG and i loved them. They truely are good strings and i see why all my friends use them. The only down side to them is there 11 to 48 so your better off playing in drop D or standard E. Although they are good strings i prefer my DR Pure Blues 11 to 50.
