I Love these strings
These strings supply heavy low end and definite highs. The thickness of the strings are great. The 52 gauge 6th string is great for Drop-D, and it also gives normal tuning a nice low end crunch. I'm never going to buy another kind of strings, and if I do, it will be Ernie Ball. *A major Plus+--they're made in America.

Great strings!
I currently use these strings on my Yamaha Pacifica. They are incredible for downtuning, and even with a trem arm they stay in tune fairly well. I like the fact that the uppers are still thin enough to bend, and the thicker bottoms have great tone. I have also used Super Slinkys, Regular Slinkys, Not Even Slinkys, and D'Addario XLs. These are the best by far.

I started using these strings not too long ago, but they are definately my favorite. I used to play alot of metal and these were great for it, but now that i'm playing in a punk band i can't say I like them. I recommend for anyone who plays metal, but not for punk or some alternative.

Best Strings I've Used
These Are definatly the best strings that I've ever used, I've used Alot of Ernie ball strings but these ones are awesome. The Top stringas are great for Power chords and heavy metal, and the bottom strings are great for soloing and shreding, If you play Heavy Metal, or even Alternative, Buy These.

Quite possibly the best strings I have ever used!
These strings were reccomended by a friend after I snapped the stings on my Ibanez RG4EX1 from a guitar stunt. Since the moment I put them on they have never stopped amazing me. They compliment all of my metal style runs. Even with a locking nut trembolo they have never gone out of tune. If you are a Big fan of heavy, thick sounding low tones like I am then do yourself a favor, buy these strings!

Hands down Best Strings
These strings give you the best of both worlds. The bottom strings are thick and provide great crunch. Especially for dropped tunings. The top strings are easily bendable for great soloing ability. The only thing I should warn you about is, if you want to put this on a guitar with a floating tremolo bridge, like a Floyd Rose, I would have a professional install them because the mixed gauges make it more difficult to balance out the bridge if you are changing from a different gauge. Long story short, best strings for almost any type of playing.

They are OK
They strings are ok, but dont last. You could be playing somthing. Not thinking. Then they break. They didnt even last 3 weeks for me. The bottoms had a good punch, but the top was week. The need to make medium top, heavy bottom. Plus you have to adjust you guitar to fit them. Well I did atleast. Next time I am getting beefy slinky's.

unique combination from a classic brand
This is my favorite ernie ball guage combination. the highs are thin enough not to sound muddy and the lows are thick enough not to sound choppy or buzzy. My only complaint is that the guage difference throws me off and that ernie ball strings can't be used on guitars with spring-loaded tremolos because their unbelieveable sustain causes a lot of interference harmonics in the bridge and springs. Great though on Les Pauls. They also sound good on acoustic guitars. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Ernie
Still a fan-o-E. Ball slinkys after all of these years.....one could make their own top/heavy electric guitar strings from Ernie's special stash, but hey , its in a set so I bought them ! They truely cry out stretch me, bend me any way yoou want me , yet have that nice heavier stance for those power chords !!!
Thanx Ernie...hey with a name like that you'ld have to expect the best !
