  • Regular Slinky Acoustics

As reviewed by Joe on 8/11/2010

These strings sound amazing. On a dreadnought they have a warm tone that's good for strumming. On a Martin 000-28 they have a rich crisp tone. The bass strings growl, treble strings sing.I will always use these and coated slinkys on my acoustics. If you don't use Ernie Balls you have no idea whaat you're missing.

  • Great Tone!

As reviewed by Charles DeWeese on 12/24/2008

I decided to try these strings and I am glad I did! They have their own sound. It is unlike any other string I tried before. It took a couple days to get used to. Now, I love it! I knew Ernie Ball for great electric strings so I figured these must be good too and they are. I am using them on an Epiphone Masterbilt DR500RNS. Try them and see how they have their own unique tone. They sound different than D'addario, Martin and Dean Markely Strings.

  • Not too bad but a little tinny.

As reviewed by sredish on 8/31/2007

I use the Hybrids on my electric and wanted to try some on my thin-body Ibanez acoustic; replacing some EXPs. The EXPs had a fuller/deeper sound. There is plenty of sound out of these but just not as full as I wanted. I'm sure the guitar is partly to blame on that. Overall, the EXP's were better. Going to try some Elixirs then probably back to the EXPs.
