  • Why Medium Guage on a 12 ?

    My 60's Vox 12 string acoustic -electric with a bolt on neck and aluminum adjustable bridge - I had to try my fav strings-in med gauge- kinda hard press but the full sound that's possible both amplified and without, but eventually went back to light gauge Ernie Ball again- but if you have a guild or taylor see if they recommend med gauge....might add more punch in mid-lower range- especially on the high g.I couldn't use med gauge on my 60's Yamaha 12- would be too much tension.
