I just put on these strings just yesterday and I can honestly say they're exactly what I was hoping they would be. They have a great "rustic" tone to them that's good for the type of playing that I do on acoustics. If you're looking for a clear tone do NOT use these strings...
I have been playing acoustic guitars for 40 years and my choice by far is Earthwood acoustic Guitar strings I play medium gauge as a personal preferance ,They are always the same sound as many years as I have played these strings have kept there cler and bright sound and last as long as any coated string that I have ever tryed and I have tryed them all but always end up with a set of earthwoods back on my acoustic guitar. I play mostley Martin and when given the questionare by Martin on what strings I intend to use n my Martins I proudly write Earthwood . try a pair for yourslf you will not be disapointed .
Replaced my brand name coated strings with these Earthwoods today for a change, and wish I never did. Not the bright "new string" sound I usually expect when I throw on a new set, disappointing since I am a Ernie Ball fan. Sticking with coated on the acoustic for now on that's for sure.
