With its double-cutaway SG upper body allowing for complete fingerboard access and its radical Flying-V bottom for extreme attitude, the Epiphone Zakk Wylde ZV Custom guitar has an aggressive look like no other. The body is carved from solid mahogany and fitted with a glued-in hard maple neck for a deep, rich tone with added brightness and sustain.
To complement these tone woods and provide the kind of high-output necessary for Zakk's style, the ZV Custom is equipped with a set of EMG-HZ humbuckers including HZ-4 pickup in the bridge position and HZ-4A pickup in the neck position. Controlling the two pickups are a bridge pickup volume, a neck pickup volume, and a master tone with 3-way pickup selector. This combination allows for almost infinite tonal variations. Adding to the sustain of the electric guitar, the ZV Custom uses Epiphone's patent-applied-for LockTone Tune-O-Matic that locks the bridge on the posts and makes string changes a breeze while a string-thru body design ensures ultimate string resonance.
Zakk Wylde has always preferred a natural satin-finish neck, and the Epiphone ZV Custom is no exception. With its SlimTaper neck profile, it's as smooth and as fast as Zakk himself. Both the neck and the Grover equipped three-on-a-side headstock are bound to create a smooth and finished appearance while Les Paul Custom mother-of-pearl inlays adorn the headstock and the 12" radius rosewood fingerboard. Epiphone's StrapLocks are standard equipment making sure that this beast stays on its leash—even under the most extreme stage situations. To add the final touch to this one-of-a-kind axe, a custom-designed, fitted hardshell guitar case with ZV-inspired artwork and metal chain handle round out the package.

this guitar is a sheer work of art. to start the picture doesnt do it justice. i got mine in the bullseye and right out of the case it practically glows. the shape itself is very unique and will give you a massive prescence where ever you play. and the bullseye paint job real brings out its beauty. its got the usual set up, 2 volumes, a tone, and 3 way toggle. i thought the 3 way was in a strange spot but you get used to it real quick and it doesnt get in the way of my usual picking style. im a big emg fan and these pick ups are really great for passives. they give the perfect crunch and tone, i still will probally put zakks active emg's in eventually but until then i am quite comftortable with these. the satin finish on the neck feels great on the hands and lets my hand glide across the fingerboard with ease. it came with a great set up out of the case and it is such a versitle guitar i have great tone with it no matter what i play, but of course it shines the brightest when you start shredding to zakk wylde's stuff in my opinion. the only things i would maybe change about this guitar if i could would probally be maybe at a floyd rose and 2 extra frets. but teven with out this little tricks this guitar is one of a kind and one of the best iv ever played. it looks stunning, sounds amazing with what ever style i play, and its at a resonable price. if your thinking about buying it, whether your a wylde fan or not, just do it. you will not regret it
This Axe is mean, seriously, a little heavy but zakk wylde would be proud! I suggest this to intermediate to advance. Pick yours up now ask no questions you wont be sorry once you here this baby play1
