Overview

Maybe you've lusted after Gibson's Zakk Wylde signature model but lacked the cash to buy one. Well, here's the Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar, a more affordable alternative. It's equipped with sizzling USA EMG HZ- H4 and H4A humbuckers, glorious gold hardware, mahogany body wood, hard maple set neck with rosewood fretboard, and Zakk's signature bull's-eye paint job. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing a breeze.

EMG HZ-H4
Combining the power of active EMG-81 with the soul of a passive PAF, the tone is well balanced, with tight bass, glassy mids, and crunchy highs. These great tonal features are achieved by utilizing over wound coils loaded with ceramic bar magnets, all fully shielded for minimal noise. In the bridge position, the H4 shines with excellent range, responsiveness and sweet harmonics, perfect for a big rock or heavy modern sound.

EMG HZ-H4A

Endowed with warmth, body and clarity, the H4A is a very versatile pickup and is perfect for everything from blues to rock to metal. The tone is very well-balanced, with solid bass, pronounced mids, and fat highs. These great tonal features are achieved by utilizing vintage wound coils loaded with Alnico V bar magnets, all fully shielded for minimal noise. The H4A in the neck position, with its cousin, the H4, offers a perfect balance of tones. The H4A shines with superb clarity, full body, and delicate responsiveness which will suit almost any style or mood.

This was the best buy i have ever made. This guitar is one of the best. The neck is smooth so its easy to play fast and the paint job is awsome. But with the gold harwear i would clean it when your done playing because it gets dirty quick. The pick-ups on here were awesome though i did by the Zakk Wylde EMG 81 85 set and those are just awesome on there. This is my favorite guitar and own and probably will stay as my favorite

I recently bought this epiphone, and I was not that impressed. The neck was not contoured well, the tuners are very low quality, and the paint job is not good. It's sound is good, but the pre-installed emgs were installed poorly. I could not get it repaired without paying more than 100 dollars for a problem I got from the start. I have a problem with the neck pick-up volume control. Turning down the volume knob on the neck pick up did nothing, and the bridge pu had tone problems. When playing, the guitar would not stay in tune, bends more than 1/2 step up would knock the 1st three strings out of tune. NO MATTER how many times I replaced the strings I had the same problem with strings being knocked out of tuning. The truss rod adjustment doesn't work, and I have a hard time getting pinch harmonics. This is a good guitar, it is just that there are so many problems with it. I would not recommend paying for something of this quality. Either pay less for another epiphone with EMGs or just go with an Gibson.

I have a "gibson" custom guitar, wine red w/gold hardware. My baby. I bought this thinking I would just bang it around...crush it. NOT! I was amazed by the over all quality of the piece! Actually it almost rocks just as well as the real deal for THOUSANDS! Hey guys, put down your pride and pick up this axe...honestly not much of a difference :)

find a used one...

By mikepataki

Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Bulls-Eye:

I got a used Zakk bullseye yesterday at GC for $539 and for that price I had to get it! but, I wouldn't pay the asking price of $799...The bullseye is not painted on people!!! it's a decale! the fit and finish is very good, the neck is easy to move around, and it's a better then average guitar!!! the gold plated truss rod cover looks nice and the tuners are Grovers! Didn't need to have it set-up either! the past owner must have done it recently... My advice is to look for a nice clean used Zakk model...stay off ebay and craig's list; alot of FAKES on there buy your guitar in person ask questions about where it's from;

not what i expected

Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Bulls-Eye:

i actually bought one of these used at GC and returned it because it was so bad. IDK if it was just a bad one, but it just didnt sound right. i couldnt get a clear heavy distorted sound, it was all broken up and nasty sounding, it also was really bad clean. it was very uncomfortable, but i guess thats a les paul for ya, and i didnt like the feel of it at all. the natural maple neck is a really cool feature and it looks cool, but thats about the only thing its got goin for it.

Blown Away

By Torrey

Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Bulls-Eye:

I purchased this at my local guitar center and i got it used for 500 dollars. It was the greatest purchase i ever made and was amazed that they sold it to me that cheap. this thing sounds amazing, the emg-hz pickups sound great for metal, but when i swiched to clean and played the Rain Song, thats when i really cried. it sounded so pure and clean and the neck was very high in quality and this guitar couldnt be more perfect for metallica, pantera especially, and surprisingly some led zepp and pearl jam and such. Its perfectly balanced and is a little heavier than my sg but i got used to it. GET THIS GUITAR! it is literaly worth its weight in gold, guitar center doesnt kno their getting ripped off. i would pay over 1000$ for this any day of the weak. even monday.

SICK!!

By Kyle Wilson

from yo momma, new mexico

Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Bulls-Eye:

I got this guitar for christmas 2 years ago... And i loved it and i still do. The only problem that i had with it was one of the screws on one of my strap holders was stripped and couldnt use my strap... But this guitar is my favorite out of my collection. The humbuckers give it enough crunch, but yet can play softer too.

Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Bulls-Eye:

Man, I went to guitar center for the first time and I tried a lot of guitars but this one caught my eye and as soon as I plugged it in, I was blown away, the neck was smooth as butter, the tuners aren't hard to tune and the strings stay in tune, the bridge was beautiful and I love the paint job on this, the EMG's do most of the work making this guitar fit for a god, I love this guitar, it's worth the money
