Overview

The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 is built to the exact specifications of Blink-182's guitarist, Tom Delonge. This cool new archtop combines semi-hollowbody design with the raw power of a USA-made Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucker pickup in a one-of-a-kind signature model. The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 features a mahogany center block for robust sustain wrapped in a laminated maple body. A solid mahogany neck joined at the 17th fret and the unique and instantly recognizable Tom Delonge "paintjob" featuring an eye-catching cream-colored racing stripe down the center of it's brown gloss finished body makes a bold statement.

Powerful Looks, Powerful Sound! Aside from the head-turning color-scheme, the real horsepower is under the hood and powered by one Humbucker pick-up. But it's not just any solitary Humbucker mind you! As Tom Delonge prefers for himself, this semi-hollowbody has one super-HOT Gibson USA Dirtyfingers Humbucker pickup right there at the bridge for sound that's guaranteed to cut through. Described as the critical union between power and dirt, Tom chose this pickup because "It's awesome. It sounds so good. It has so much more clarity and volume and a much wider sound... I instantly fell in love with it." Turn it down with the lone volume knob and turn your amp up for a clean, vintage tone, with a hearty breath of smoke. Turn both the guitar and your amp up and smoke the neighbors with Tom's signature tone!

Still Packed With More Value: Other details include a rosewood fingerboard with traditional "Dot" inlay, quality electronic parts including a full 1" 500K Ohm potentiometer and heavy-duty output jack. It also features chrome hardware including premium 16:1 ratio Grover machine heads for superior tuning stability and accuracy. Also included as standard equipment on the Epiphone Delonge Signature ES-333 are Epiphone's exclusive LockTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece which pump out even more sustain and make string changes a breeze.

Always There For You: The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 is protected by the Epiphone Lifetime Limited Warranty featuring Gibson 24/7/360 Customer Service and guarantees the instrument against defects in materials or workmanship.

now...im a HUGE blink and ava fan. i love the sound of the ES guitars but i dont like the humbuckers...i love open coils. this is the perfect guitar for fans of blink or someone wanting a nice alternative to the typical ES guitar. i always wanted a tom delonge signature but it was too expensive. the gibson pickup gives so much high-gain punk tone. the semi-hollow design gives a perfect effect tone. the tone is perfect with distortion, the feel is amazing and comfortable..its good for everything dealing with punk and the new-age scene AWESOME

This is an honest review not comig from some love-crazy Blink 182 fan. Made a guitar trade for it and ended up kind of dissapointed. Let me talk about the Cosmetics first. The finish in person is really ugly to me, its not green at all but a swampy brown. The matte finish leaves all kinds of streaks and marks when wiping it down or touching it, and it doesn't go away easily, mine even has tiny air bubbles visible in some places yep funky little swamp bubbles. If you touch any particular spot often enough with your hands it will begin to gloss up. The racing stripe is really cheap, chips and scuffs far too easily, and it sits on top of the finish, like thick dried up paint. I will give it points for the cool stained mahagony neck it looks really nice and the black epiphone logo. The neck binding is an awesome touch, the dot inlay are nicely done. Now playability, the slim-tapered neck plays silky smooth especially with the binding, and good action is easily attained. As you can expect from all of these 335 style guitars, access to the higher fets is limited, and can be tricky to manuever. When standing the guitar does wnat to lean downwards towards the neck, but this isn't terribly noticeable. More importantly how does it sound, well unplugged has great natural acoustic resonance. Sustain is good. But I hated the sound of the dirty fingers pickup as soon as first tried it, and worse the lone vol. does very little to help alter the tone. Very hot output, very dark and muddy tones. Extremely sensitive to overdrive, it will completely muc up your signal if you give it just enough gain. I thught it sounded far better with low gain, gives you some Nrvana-esque tone. I read the pickup originated in the 80's which makes since, cause' it definitely gives that hair-metal vibe more than punk. And I love punk, and indie rock so I just switched the pickup with a p90 to give it that jangly trashy sound. I wouldn't reccomend this to everyone because it sounds extra bright now with it being semi-hollow, high value pots, in combiation with a single coil pickup. As much as I hate the dirty fingers, it is valuable and there are lots of people who want them so selling it for a replacement is no problem. And there is no other pickup or combination of pickups to choose from, so your stuck with that sharpness you get from the pup being so close to the bridge. Among other things the grovers are adequate, far better than what you typically get with an epiphone, but isn't te end-all-be-all of your tuning worries. The bridge is the typical one you'd find on an epiphone, isn't that sturdy, without strings it will fall off, scratch your guitar. Thats pretty much it. I had big hopes and dreams for this guitar. I was going to paint it black (no pun intended) add a tone pot. But decided to give up and just get a gretsch.

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I recieved this guitar as a christmas gift being a huge fan of blink and ava. The Dirty Finger Pups give it an amazing distorted sound for punk and some metal playing. It sounds decent clean and sounds amazing with effects... The only thing you have to remember is that it's not to versatile and if you are looking for a versatile guitar look elsewhere. But if you're looking to rock Blink,AVA,and other punk/some metal songs than this is the guitar for you!!!

A really good guitar actually

By Jason

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I'm not writing from a biased opinion when I say this. This guitar is a selective use guitar. It sounds very good with distortion if your going from a twangy humbucker-ish sound. Just listen to how Tom Delonge sounds on his latest tour with blink. It sounds a lot like that with a DS-1, so this is a very hard punk rock guitar. Cleans - I know people complain here - but this guitar puts out good cleans. They aren't the best. I'm sure there's a couple strats, LPs, SGs, etc that can put out better clean tones, but this isn't anything worth complaining about. Only complaint is the neck, its very comfortable for power chord rock and such, but one you try to whip actually solos, the neck feels a little bit obstructive and blocking because it has that 50's or 60's neck profile. Other than that, its an excellent guitar.

The Tom DeLonge Signature EPI!!!

By Trevor Adams

from Arlington, TX

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Alright, well, I had been wanting this guitar for about 2 years before I managed to pocket enough money to buy it, and I must say, it was completely worth it. The tone that you get out of the Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup is amazing on a distorted or even a clean channel. The guitar itself is very cool looking, and all of my friends pretty much drool over how pretty it is. One problem I've been noticing in my Epiphone guitars is that they seem to have a hard time keeing being tuned. That is the one problem I would mention about it. But overall, this guitar is WICKED cool. 5 Stars :)

AWESOME

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This guitar is perfect for any blink 182/angels and airwaves fan, but it can also be carried into a lot of genres of music. Obviously this guitar is meant to play punk, but with the dirty fingers pick up, you have a nice variety of sounds. You can get the crunchy distortion, or you can mellow out with the clean tone. Overall this guitar is 5 stars and I think Epiphone did a great job making this signature. If you want a nice guitar with great sound, or you are a blink 182/angels and airwaves fan, this guitar is meant for you!

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I'm just gonna keep it short. This guitar is an amazing guitar when it comes to tone and playablity(word?). It is very adjustable with pedals and it looks great. I put on the Spurzel locking tuners and it's basically the Gibson style w/out the name and cost. Worth the buy.

This Guitar Kicks #$@

By Scott

from Quincy, Massachusetts

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar over the summer and its unbelieveable. My friend has a Tom Delonge Sig. Strat and its nice that its rare but in all around quality it lacks. The ES-333 is so much better the Dirty Fingers blew me away. I run mine through a marshall amp and mostly use my grunge pedal. The sound you can get with this guitar is perfect, if you play in a band like me it looks beautiful on stage. For any Punk Pop-Punk player this is a must buy.

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Amazing Guitar Got it about 6 months ago and have yet to put it down! its unique sound makes all of your blink, ava and boxcar music sound authentic, but for this same reason i also do not recomend it to people who dont like distortion cause this guitar was made for it!!! It also goes good with Greenday, Sex Pistols, +44, Papa Roach, Smashing Pumpkins, STP and Certain 70's Bands.

Good guitar

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Blink 182 has always been my favorite band and i always wanted to have a guitar just like my idol tom delonge but i was discouraged by the huge prices. When the epiphone model was released for a cheaper price, i was enthused. now that i have it, it sounds amazing on a distorted channel. It sounds just like blink 182. The only down side is that it doesn't sound good clean. This isn't good because i like to play ska, but when i'm playing punk or rock, it sounds amazing! Blink 182...Rest in peace!

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar because I'm a huge tom delonge fan, But once i plugged it in. I loved the sound i got. The dirty finger is just amazing with distortion but not too good on clean. But all in all this is a great guitar that sounds as good as it looks. I would recommend this guitar to any one who wants to play punk or screamo or metal

Sick!

By Simon

from Toronto, Ontario

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This thing is nuts! It's the first guitar that is cheap that I don't have to fiddle around with it! I usually play a squire that I put some modifications into to make it into a punk guitar, by putting in Nightmare pickups, which are essentially metal pckups and running it through cleaner amps such as marshals. With this all you ave to do is plug in and play!
