Comments about PRO-1 Les Paul Jr. Electric Guitar Pack:
The Guitar was good but the accessories were not up the mark and I had to return the set to the store and get a new one.
Comments about Epiphone PRO-1 Les Paul Jr. Electric Guitar Pack:
I purchased this package with the intention on learning the guitar. I was very interested in the RockSmith2014 that was included. When I received the pack from UPS, the guitar was beautiful and all the electronics were in good working order. I had no problem with the equipment I was given. When I went to try to access the RockSmith software it did not work. I contacted Ubisoft(the ones who make the product) for help. They had me send a screen shot of the problem to them. After a time they contacted me and said that the product code I was given did not work and they had no other codes available. They basically left me hanging in the wind. I went to my local Guitar Center store and they told me that they knew nothing about the product, so basically the product I had was worthless. If you are buying this guitar do so for the instrument. But if you want to use the software included, at least in my experience, I would discourage it. I can do believe that a product is not delivered as advertised
Comments about Epiphone PRO-1 Les Paul Jr. Electric Guitar Pack:
Don't own one but spent some time demo'ing one when a friend was looking to get a starter guitar. This is a really good guitar. Was surprised at the quality when comparing with other starter packs. While some of the accessories in the kit aren't great, the guitar makes up for it, and that's what you're really after. The small practice amp is ok, at best, but does accurately reflect what is input into it and can be run with headphones at the house. Besides, the amp is fine for getting started and an easy thing to upgrade if you decide that you're going to stick with it. Pick up a Vox Mini5 in a few months and you're good to go for getting good tone at home.
Epiphone has stepped up their game with this one. I would seriously consider picking up this guitar to add to the collection, as a traveler, that you don't have to worry about getting dinged up. Check out the Rob Chapman review of this guitar kit on youtube (great gear reviews).
