This is a limited edition version of one of the most popular Epiphone's now available with a choice of alluring new finishes. The Epiphone Ltd Ed Special-II Metallic is a great way for beginners to get started on guitar with real Les Paul tone and feel. But seasoned pros love the Special II also because it's a great-sounding, workhorse guitar that lets them leave their more expensive axes at home.
The authentic LP power starts with an all-mahogany, trademarked Les Paul body with a bolted-on "1960s" SlimTaper™ mahogany neck featuring a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The Special-II Metallic is voiced by a pair of hot open-coil Epiphone 700T and 650R humbucker pickups, giving it massive, unmistakable Les Paul tone. Like all of Epiphone's electric guitars, it comes standard-equipped with 500K potentiometers for the master volume and master tone controls, plus Epiphone's heavy-duty 3-way pickup selector toggle switch and exclusive non-rotating heavy-duty output jack. This value-champ also now features nickel hardware including the Epiphone LockTone(™ locking Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece for amazing sustain and even more mind-blowing value.

I have been playing on and off for over 30 years. It had been a while since I played so I bought this just to see if I would get back into the habit, when it arrived I couldn't put it down,I was back to playing 4 to 5 hours each day, for the price the sound and feel is surprising. I ordered the Pelham Blue model, the finish was flawless, I have had it over a year and have since picked up several other Les Pauls but I still play this one as well. Only one complaint which is typical the G String is hard to keep in tune, after the setup I did a little work on the nut and have found using graphite on the nut seems to solve the problem, a set of Grover Tuners would definately make this an every day player.
I got this guitar for my bday, and was excited, I plugged it in and when i hit the first chord and herded the sound that came from it. I was just a great sound, tone was amazing. I did change the strings since I like different stings. The Les Paul is the best. Lowering the strings on it was very eazy and fast.
