I have owned many guitars in my lifetime...My favorites being the Stratocaster and the Les Paul...of course! Times heve changed and I was down to one guitar, A 2006 American Standard Stratocaster. (which I love) BUT...Having owned three Les Pauls in my lifetime--All Gibson, I wanted one, but could not afford one. so I thought! Then, I see this Epiphone Les Paul Studio deluxe limited edition...I took a chance and I am glad I did...This particular Guitar is almost every bit as worthy as it's Gibson counterpart...There is not ONE thing I can say that is negative about this guitar so far...Now--I have both...which I think every guitarist should have as these two guitars are the industry standards of guitars...Don't hesitate to purchase this guitar, it will not let you down in ANY way...For this price point, it doesn't get any better in the Les Paul Dept. In fact, This has (at least for now) become my main guitar)...It is totally Gig Worthy, and as far as I'm concerned, every bit as good as the basic Gibson Les Paul...I know...I had Three of them. I did not expect this much guitar at this price point. You will feel the same way I'm sure...Do it! You'll be so glad you did!

okay look. I bought this guitar to replace another epiphone. I bought it in alpine white. When i got it, it sounded amazing! the pickups had a very nice rich, deep tone to them, and it went well with my line 6 amp. but the qhuality of the guitar??... NOT GOOD. not only was one of the tone knobs loose (i tried to fix it but it was broken) but the gold finish was already faded on the pickups when i PULLED IT OUT OF THE BOX. ive had it for one week, and half of the gold is gone. so if your getting this guitar, go for the red finish, not alpine, and beware the quality...

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

The Les Paul is great for playing any style of music from alternative to metal well any again. The pickups give a nice sound from clean to a overdrive or distortion sound, the neck is so smooth you just don't want to stop playing, the body is so beautiful you can't keep your eye off of it, plays so good I would recommend this to anybody that's looking for a les paul, so far the best guitar I've ever played.

Awesome sounding, beautiful guitar

By Matt

from Santa Clara, CA

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I got the wine red and it looks simply amazing. The guitar sounded perfect right out of the box after an initial tuning. Coming from a single coil setup I couldn't believe how dreamy the humbuckers sound. I did put different strings on because the original ones were not to my liking. With the bridge on this guitar it is really simple to change the strings however. The finish is flawless and the grain on the fingerboard is very nice. The wood grain comes through beautifully as well on the body. With the trapezoid mother of pearl inlays, the nickel/silver covers and bridge, and the spectacular finish, this looks and feels like a guitar that should cost much more than it does. It is easy to play, a great deal, looks terrific, sounds just as good, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. What are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed. If you are into metal or shredding you may want something with a thinner neck however. For rock, blues, chords, scales, ect, it is no problem at all. The body of this guitar is a bit thinner than a standard LP design. It is also lighter from what I can tell.

Epiphone and Gibson=The same...

By Dominic

from Burque

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

First off I love this guitar, it is my second and my first guitar was a Dean Evo and this is a HUGE upgrade from that... I tried this out at the store and then I tried a Gibson that was an exact clone, literally... I could not tell the difference between them other than the weight the sound exactly the same.. So if your looking for a Les Paul that wont suck the money out of you wallet than buy this bad boy..

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Bought the white with gold hardware guitar two months ago. Put new strings on it and lowered the action and now this guitar rips! The sustain is amazing. Sounds fantastic clean and with distortion it has a great chunking low end. The guitar is great looking and the alnico plus pick ups are great. Nice guitar for a great price.

Great Guitar!!!!!!!!

By mmatt42

from New Castle, PA

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

My Epiphone Les Paul Studio Deluxe arrived yesterday and I am very impressed. I got the alpine white finish and it is beautiful. Pictures cannot do this guitar justice. The pickups sound great for anything from clean, to distortion, to overdrive. It holds its tune great. I was expecting it to be like most other Epi's that I have played and lose it's tune after a couple bends but I was happily surprised. In my opinion, this guitar feels and sounds better than the Gibson LP Studio. I only have two complaints about this guitar. 1. The jack is loose but that's easily fixable. 2. The gold hardware is already rubbing off after one day of playing.

By Andrew

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

This les paul is a great buy. It has a great sound and a great tone. The gutiar itself isnt even that heavy, to me anyway. I run mine through my pedal board and it jsut sounds amazing. I need to adjust the neck pickup high, but thats completely my preference. This guitar is a great buy and can play any type of music! its simply a must buy! I grabbed it withought a though of doubt after i played it for a minute. I went in for a pedal and came out with a guitar. Worth every penny

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. This isn't a Epiphone, this is a Gibson with the wrong label on it! With new strings this thing will rock! just wish that you had the option to choose silver or gold hardware.

Simply AMAZING

By Alex

from perkasie

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I got one of these for christmas, and i'm still as satisfied as the first time i played it. It looks absolutely beautiful in person, the picture does it no justice (I have wine red by the way). This is really versatile for genres if you know what to tweak on the guitar and amp. I can get Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Nirvana, and ozzy sounds really really well on this guitar. It plays very smooth compared to my old strat copy and i love the fretboard inlays. I don't know if this in all epiphone models as this is my first one but the epiphone on the headstock looks like it was written in pearl because of the multi color shine when you turn it in the light. The finish on this is very durable, i've bumped it on my bedpost and nothing happened. And this guitar will last me a long time, also the sustain is great, it holds an open note on any of my strings for atleast 30 seconds and thats when i have fairly low action on it. No buzz except for a slight amount when i do power chords. All in all really really good guitar, if your a beginner or an expert, you'll love it

awsome guitar

By LesPaulDeluxe

from Modesto,CA

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

this guitar is the most super value with great tone, looks, and playability you expect from a Les Paul at this price. Really great tone and sustain you expect from it too, the alinco classic plus humbuckers gives the guitar a nice clean, dist. or overdrive and the tuners stay in tune for about sometime not like the other epiphones that lose its tune quickly. I would recommend this epiphone les paul studio to anybody for this awsome price.

Worth every penny!

By Eric Salentine

from New Berlin, Wisconsin

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I picked up this guitar in wine red and and love the vintage look with the new inlay designs and the addition of the pickup covers the old models did not have. What really sets this guitar apart from many, is how beautiful it plays! The tones you get from the Alnico pickups is outstanding! I love the ability to perform amazing bending I was unable to attain on my Fender strat. I for many years, was a huge advocate of Fender guitars, and not to take anything away from them, but these new Les Paul models from Epiphone are quickly swaying me their direction with their versatility and ease of play. I HIGHLY recommend picking one of these up! It's a great value for the price and works awesome for practically any style of music.

WOW! I am FLOORED by this axe!!!

By Nick B

from San Luis Obispo, CA

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I just bought one of these Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Les Paul Studio Deluxe and I just gotta say, this is not only an awesome guitar... this is a MASTERFULLY CRAFTED, GORGEOUS, downright EPIC guitar. I bought the Wine Red one w/ the nickel hardware, and this guitar is just SOO sexy. I've owned many guitars, and been playing for 10 years. I've always tended to be a humbucker PU guy, I play a ton of classic rock for example, Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Guns n Roses, Pantera etc. This guitar is an absolute STEAL for what you get. I own a Gibson LP standard, as well as a Gibson LP Studio. When I plugged this in to my Marshall 50w plexi, I honestly found it near impossible to distinguish a difference in the quality of sound between the two! This guitar has everything you'd want, and the mahogany and set-neck really keep the chunky mids and sustain comin strong!!! If you're thinking about this guitar, and don't have a ton of cash, BUY IT!!! I know my guitars, and I guarantee that you will NOT regret it! Just one note, I have heard (and seen) fellow musicians having problems with the gold hardware rubbing off... But, in my case, with the Wine Red & Nickel, this doesn't apply to me. So all in all: EASILY 6 out of 5 stars!!!! Great job, Epiphone, you have left my jaw on the floor, while still having some cash left in my pocket :D \m/ GETCHA PULL!! \m/

Epic guitar for the price!!

By Matt

from Ontario

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

When I bought this guitar I thought it looked nice online but when I went I took it out of the box I was amazed on how good it looked (Got the wine red one). The inlays and pickups and bridge all look amazing and the finish just shines in the light, so it will look great on stage!! As for the sound, I have it going through a Line 6 Spider IV 15W and it sounds great if you can get the settings right. From metal to simple acoustic rock they all sound great. For this price you can't go wrong. The only problem I had is the nut chipped right above the low E string (faulty material)while I was changing the strings, still playable but getting it fixed shortly. Don;t forget to buy a case for this bad-boy!! P.S. Action is astonishing straight out of the box!!

Amazing

By Jake

from Seattle, Washington

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I recieved this guitar as a birthday present, and let me tell you, it's great. I have the wine red one, and it sounds amazing! It has that real thick gibson sound, even though it's an epiphone. The finish looks great and gleams in the light whenever I play gigs. This guitar sounds great in distortion and just the same clean. I really like the fact that it's easy to get tones that you want just by messing with the volume and tone controls. Overall though, it's great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a gibson, but cannot afford it.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

its a pretty good guitar, it looks great! i got it in white and the gold with the white is sick, but the gold fades away fast, after 2 days of playing this guitar it looks like ive played it for a year.... i recommend changing the strings. the humbucker pick ups are okay.. don't like the neck its too thick and a little short, its very hard to shred on and taping is also very hard, it is very good for chords though, don't really recommend for metal...over all pretty good

WOW! Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe

By Mat

from Leonardtown, MD

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I am finally writing a review after owning it for over a month and a half, WOW! This guitar is amazing, I played it with a Gibson, and this guitar sounds better!!! I bought mine in the Alpine White finish with Gold Hardware, it looks amazing. The only flaw was that the gold hardware wears off after a couple day, but I think it gives it a vintage look. It has amazing sustain, as it should, being a Les Paul. The guitar sounds as if it is worth THOUSANDS! The tuners are also great, I barely ever have to tune. I have not had any problems with this guitar and I love every part of it. THIS IS THE GUITAR TO BUY!!!!!!!!!!
