I have owned many guitars in my lifetime...My favorites being the Stratocaster and the Les Paul...of course! Times heve changed and I was down to one guitar, A 2006 American Standard Stratocaster. (which I love) BUT...Having owned three Les Pauls in my lifetime--All Gibson, I wanted one, but could not afford one. so I thought! Then, I see this Epiphone Les Paul Studio deluxe limited edition...I took a chance and I am glad I did...This particular Guitar is almost every bit as worthy as it's Gibson counterpart...There is not ONE thing I can say that is negative about this guitar so far...Now--I have both...which I think every guitarist should have as these two guitars are the industry standards of guitars...Don't hesitate to purchase this guitar, it will not let you down in ANY way...For this price point, it doesn't get any better in the Les Paul Dept. In fact, This has (at least for now) become my main guitar)...It is totally Gig Worthy, and as far as I'm concerned, every bit as good as the basic Gibson Les Paul...I know...I had Three of them. I did not expect this much guitar at this price point. You will feel the same way I'm sure...Do it! You'll be so glad you did!

okay look. I bought this guitar to replace another epiphone. I bought it in alpine white. When i got it, it sounded amazing! the pickups had a very nice rich, deep tone to them, and it went well with my line 6 amp. but the qhuality of the guitar??... NOT GOOD. not only was one of the tone knobs loose (i tried to fix it but it was broken) but the gold finish was already faded on the pickups when i PULLED IT OUT OF THE BOX. ive had it for one week, and half of the gold is gone. so if your getting this guitar, go for the red finish, not alpine, and beware the quality...

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I use this guitar when I am on the road for work ( I test rail for defects.) I have an Epi 100th Anniversary Custom that I record with but, have used the Studio also. The quality of the Epi Studio rivals that of a Gibson Studio for half the cost. When looking for a travel guitar, the Epi was a no brainer. Great action, beautiful tone and, no complaints.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

After some time spent setting up the guitar, it sounds great! No adjustment to the truss rod was required, but the bridge was set very high for my taste. I like to be able to go as low as possible without risking any fret buzz. Also, there have been a few comments about the pickups, but when they are properly setup, this guitar sounds so sweet! Intonation is right on! I was about to immediately through on some other strings (Ernie Ball Super Slinkys), but once I got the supplied strings setup, I think they sound just fine for now. I have another LP guitar with a maple cap. Playing them side by side, I have to tell you that the Studio Deluxe truly sounds better. I picked the Wine Red, and it looks so rich! My Dad plays a Les Paul Gold Top and has been playing for some 58 years. I can't wait for him to give this guitar a try.
An honest note: When I got the guitar it was supposed to be a new in box. This actually was not the case. Hey, the guitar looks great, and plays even better, but Guitar Center took great care of me since it wasn't a brand new one as advertised. Thanks Guitar Center for your outstanding customer service!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

This is the fourth guitar that I have purchased since July 2016. This guitar was on sale, on a Guitar Center add. No mention that Guitar Center only has Demo Models left. I get the guitar in a Schecter box, it was dusty and dirty. A couple of the control knobs are cracked. The is no certification documentation on this Limited Edition Deluxe model. Lastly, I called the Guitar Center customer service line, and all I got was a phone number to call the store that shipped the guitar to me from Arizona.

            If you can't afford a Gibson Les Paul, like I can't . . . this is EXCELLENT!!!
Also, if you can't afford a Fender Strat or Fender Bass, . . . "Squire" knock-offs of Fender products look like the same thing and SOUND GREAT, and are much cheaper.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Bought this for my son last Christmas. It is easy to play and has great tone; not a starter guitar by any means. I'm using it for a gig in July. I have a Gibson Les Paul Raw Power and the the Epiphany sounds more like a classic Les Paul.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I have never played a guitar in this price range that plays or sounds as well. I played several actual Gibsons on the day I bought the Studio Deluxe and the Epiphone played better than many of them. You cannot tell the difference in ton between a Gibson either. Some people are claiming problems with the tuners, which isn't something I have had an issue with. My only complaint, was the neck had a pretty good back bow from the factory, which kept the action from being dropped all the low. I spent two days adjusting the truss rod, putting some relief in the neck, changing the strings to 8s, and lowering the action down. Now, the action is only at 2mm at the 22nd pickup and less than .005" at the 1st fret--with no fret-buzz, whatsoever.

My wife definitely can tell when I fire this Les Paul up through my 75w Line-6 amplifier versus my American Strat. She says, "it sounds better than any guitar you have ever owned". We have been married for 15 year, so she has seen dozens of guitars in my hands, and giving this Epiphone it's props says a lot.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I've bought at least six guitars in the last two years trying to find the "right" one. Everything from other Epiphone LP's to Fenders to PRS, but none of them felt perfect for me. I recently purchased another guitar and was in the store getting a set up on it. As I was wandering around I happened to notice this guitar at the very back of the line of other Epiphones. It was stunning in the wine red!! I picked it up and strummed it a few times and it felt PERFECT!! Not too heavy, but beefy enough to let you know it was there. The neck is awesome. I plugged in and was blown away. The Alnico Classics have a beautiful warm, rich tone, which is exactly what I've been looking for. I had them stop the set up on the other guitar and promptly traded it in for this beauty!! If you are in the market for an inexpensive(but high quality) Les Paul look no further than this guitar!!
