This guitar is the third guitar I have owned. Previously I had a Fender Strat and a Epiphone SG. This guitar is just great. The quality is astounding for the price and the overall feel of the les pauls makes it worth every penny. I would say that this Guitar is great for Intermediate players like myself. Advanced players, with cash would probably go get the Gibson Silverburst. But for this price and its quality, even if you are a pro this is just one hell of a deal. 5 stars what a beautiful guitar.

Great Guitar...but they want more for it in the store BEWARE!

By

from Sudbury, MA

I decided on this guitar after ordering the studio version of the silbverburst, and having it come in the mail broken and just overall cheap looking and sounding. So I decided to shell out the extra $150 for the custom. As soon as I picked it up and played it I could tell the difference in quality. Also the fact that it comes with such an amazing case, that is like $150 right there! Only thing is the in the actual store they wanted to charge me $699 instead of the $599 that is listed online. Guitar Center advertises they will match any price yet they didn't want to even match their OWN online price! I had to argue with the guy for an hour. Finally walked out with my baby, and I couldn't be happier :-)

By

from taylor michigan

i orderd this guitar online the first time on nov.6.when i took it out off the case it at least a dozen cosmetic flaws,so after the fifth time i returned it,by mail, because your local guitar center does not carry it in stock!the fifth one i got,the headstock was completly broken off the neck!these guitars are mass produced overseas!and each guitar comes with a inspection booklet, and the is no way these guitars i received were inspected!so finally i gave up on it!if you get a good one, from ordering online your lucky!!so i wouldnt waste my time to order online!!

Awesome guitar

By

from Huntington Beach, CA

I've had this guy for about 6 months now and I just love it. It's been mistaken for a Gibson Studio LP by a couple pros at the music store I take lessons at, and I haven't done anything to it besides replacing the nut. I've played a few gigs with it, recently for a crowd of 2500 at my school, and it's holding up very well. In my opinion, this guitar is the best option for someone like myself who wants a great tone without paying double the price for a Gibson. 5 stars for sure

A Gibson without the price

By

from Duarte California

I've had this guitar for a couple of days now, and I'm amazed by how good it plays and feels. I've always had a hobby of going into guitar center and playing around with their guitars every thing from Gibson's to schecter's to compare the different types of pickups and how the body/necks effect the crisp rich feeling everyone always looks for. After saving up for a while and talking to people I had my eye on the epiphone les paul's for their gibson like sound without the price. After going over that I love (having a hand craved unique beauty) I was looking over either a sliver burst edition or the apprised Custom ebony/Alpine white les Paul. After playing them both I decided to get the sliver burst one because unlike gold hardware that fades away and turns dull after playing for a couple of years the chrome hardware on the sliver burst doesn't have the same problem and can be easily polished to look brand new

Beautiful and worth every penny...and then some!!!

By

from Tulsa, OK

I recently upgraded my arsenal from an Austin Vintage Les Paul to this beauty! It is not only gorgous, but every single thing I play through this guitar just seems magically different than my old guitar. Highs are bright and clean, lows are thick and rich! All of my effects through my Line 6 pedal love this guitar and make every note audible and smooth. Very excited about this Guitar! Great Price for beauty and quality!!!

Save for the Gibson LP Studio Silverburst!

By

from Londonderry, NH

I bought this guitar and ended up returning it. It seemed like a good deal, but when I got it home I noticed a few cracks in the neck under the nut. When I brought it back to exchange it I noticed the couple my local store had in stock all had the cracks. For the heck of it I tried a Gibson LP studio silverburst and the sound got me. The Epiphone didn't sound bad, but the studio was amazing. I returned the Epiphone and saved another month and got the Gibson LP Studio instead. In my opinion it was a much better guitar and worth the wait. Although only cosmetic, the binding on the Epiphone also had a yellowed tint that I wasn't a huge fan of.

Sweet for the price!

By

from Issaquah, WA

This guitar is suitable for the beginning/intermediate guitarist and will serve you well. The craftsmanship will likely vary guitar to guitar because unlike it's Gibson USA-made counterparts these are not all going to be set up well straight-away. You may want to check out a specimen in person before laying the money down. The reason I give the guitar a 4 is A) the tuners are not fantastic (drops out of tuning fairly frequently). Personally, I swapped the stock neck pickup for the Seymor Duncan "Pearly Gates" which I am very pleased with.

Does anyone get it?

By

from Langhorne PA

This guitar looks great, sounds good, and plays horrible! Has anyone tried to play this guitar standing up? The neck is so heavy it hinders the ability to play the d@mn thing! I currently also have the Guitar Center Exclusive Gibson Les Paul Standard Silverburst and trust me, the money is well worth it. I think there should be a law passed against being able to make these guitars the way they do. The weight distribution is impossible! Everybody, get the Studio! All the fake pearl inlays and pretty binding is not worth it if it is not comfortable to play.

AMAZING GUITAR

By

from Palmyra, New York

I saved up forever to buy this guitar. Worked my butt off to get it. And it was well worth it. It sounds amazing. Its good for everything from heavy metal to jazz, hard rock to blues this guitar sounds amazing. Not only does it sound amazing it looks it. The silverburst finish goes great with the crome hardware and pearl inlays on the fretboard. Truly a great guitar for any guitar player who can not afford the Gibson model of this guitar.
