Great!

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

This things got so much to give the guitarist! I mean the maestro makes this thing and I think Gibson should bring this back as a standard option on all their guitars. It gives a very unique vintage tone and goes out of tune nicely if applied hard. It is very different to my ears than a Bigsby in that you can effectively pull up. I like it do to wanting the Andy Powell vibe and cannot afford a Flying V with this bar on it. I wish Epiphone had the Custom with this tail piece still on it! Awesome guitar my opinion as good if not more so than a 60's original.Pick ups are great too and really are fine for most styles of music for the price. Covers that Mountain sound to a point as well as Sabbath pretty good too.

Awesome Guitar

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

This is one of the best deals I have found. The guitar is beautiful and the stock alnico pickups sound great. I had to adjust the saddel to lower the action a bit when I received it but that was to be expected as most brand new guitars require minor adjustments to suit the individual player/owner. I also had some tuning issues with use of the tremolo but some nut sauce took care of that. I have not been able to put this guitar down. Overall, I am very happy with this guitar and would recommend it to any player that likes mahogony bodies, fat necks and humbuckers ...

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

I go this guitar, and its great, but you need to give it some time of its new, the frets made a scratchy sound at first, but it wore off. and replace the strings, otherwise, to me it sounded jazzy. i put some earnie ball's 9 gauge on and it sounded screamin. the pots work great, except they cut out a little when there at 10.

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

i bought this guitar a few years ago when they made the antique white...it also had triple pickups. i love this guitar but it doesnt stay in tune if you use the tremolo. i think i would have been happier if i bought one without it. also it is neck heavy so its a bit of a pain to play standing up, but you can get used to it. overall its a beautiful looking guitar and it sounds and plays very nice...the value is pretty good, if you have the money to collect guitars, this guitar makes a great showcase guitar, otherwise there are far better guitars out there for the money that are easier to play and stay in tune better.

This guitar has one of the best looks that you can find here... The trapezoid inlays are perfect.. The Alnico Classic and Alnico Classic Plus humbuckers really hit the spot.. So if you're looking for a good iconic guitar go for this one...

Not Really a Review...

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

This isn't much of a review I just needed a place where I could ask a question. Would this guitar work well for playing really heavy stuff. Like is I was playing music by bands like The Devil Wears Prada, Or even some punk stuff like Blink-182. If you know a guitar that would be better for that you should email me a link. It would be very much appreciated!

EPI SG W/MAESTRO

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

I have had this guitar for 3 years in April and it is always the topic of conversation everytime I play. The fit and finish is excellent and the balance is very good not neck heavy as some SGs are. I have 2 friends with Gibson SG standards and the sound, quality and looks of this one blow theirs away for less than half the price. Way better bang for the buck than a budget Gibson (the faded special Gibson SGs in my opinion are awful). Thanks Epiphone for making a great guitar affordable.

AWESOME GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!

By ultimatebrebeuf

Comments about Epiphone Limited-Edition G-400 Deluxe Electric Guitar with Maestro Vibrato Tailpiece:

I've had this guitar for a year now and I am very pleased. The pickups give you the most metal tone as you can get! the strings stay in tune well as long as you dont hork the tremolo too hard. I am very pleased with the maestro except for the fact that the whammy bar does not screw off, so even though you can turn it around, it still gets pushed down slightly when in its case. Oh, and do you see that little white plastic tip at the end of the whammy bar? that doesnt look so great but you can take it off without any tools, just simply pull it and it comes off trust me the guitar looks way better without it. So overall this is a very good guitar; perfect for metal, blues, jazz, you name it, this guitar suits everybodies genre of music and playing style. And for this price, you can't go wrong my friend. BUY THIS GUITAR YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!
