Great Firebird

By John Prowse

from J.P. in the Hammer Ontario, Canada

Epiphone should keep these in full production. I have had the worn cherry limited version for 3 yrs now and love it. All stock, plays and feels as good as a Gibson Firebird. Pickups are as good as 490 Gibson's. It's an odd size, I use a bass case. Not a shredding metal machine, but great for blues, country, and rock even jazz.

Beautiful Looks, Even Better Sounds

By Rick Garner

from St. Louis MO

A few months back, my 20 year old Fender Strat's neck got messed up a week before an important gig. I went to GC with the intent of buying a tele. My GC didn't have exactly what I was looking for but by the doorway, this bright blue gem caught my eye. I picked up the Firebird Studio in Phelam Blue. The sounds that the Seyemour Duncan Alnico Classics produce clean is stunning and with od or distortion, they really jump to life with a crunch unlike anything I've played before. The versatility of this guitar is far underrated. I received this with no paint blemishes although the selector knob head had a chunk out of it. My GC offered to replace it but had no spare white epi knobs. Overall, I could not be more pleased with it.
