A gift from someone who knows what a huge Joe B fan I am. Epiphone delivers in a big way, finally making a guitar that lives up to the hype of advertising. The weight is very well balanced for a guitar that weighs in close to 10 lbs. The "D" shaped neck feels amazing and you can get some amazing sustain both from chording, and single notes. Even without effects, the guitar sounds great plugged in. You can use this guitar for many styles due to the wide tonal range the pickups can provide.

Received guitar 10282014,,..Guitar has :Paint flaws, scratches and a bent trust rod cover also a very rough pick guard cover. I called Epiphone the guy was yawning on phone while I was speaking to him he could care less I waited over 2 months for this guitar to arrive to Guitar Center. However, Guitar Center offered me a in store credit and a discount on future purchase that was very nice.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

I just purchased a Epiphone Joe Bonamassa goldtop second hand last week and it was just because I admire man's work. I do own (and have owned) a couple of electric guitars (mainly Fenders) but never was a LP fan. The sound was too solid in my opinion. However since Ive got the guitar I played it over and over and it just feels so right. Its neck (allright its a fat neck but its feels smooth), the looks, its overall feel but above all; its great burstbucker pick-ups. This is probable the best sounding guitar I have ever owned. It feels like a very expensive Gibson but its just a made in China Epiphone. Well they did a terrific job. The pick-ups react very good to an overdrive or distorsion pedal. But it has also a very nice clean sound. Not muddy or thick but just right. I love it. The case and the handsigned certificate was a nice bonus. Thanks Joe.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

I had no intention of getting any more guitars, and in fact was in the process of selling some off. But when this guitar started getting rave reviews, temptation got the better of me. I told myself that I could return it after I tried it out. But after looking it over, tuning it up, and playing it for a couple minutes, I knew it wasn't going anywhere. What a guitar! The workmanship is every bit as good as my 2 Epi Elitist Les Pauls, and so is the sound, only a bit different. My Elitists have SD pickups with A2 magnets, and they sound smoother, more refined. The Burstbuckers in this baby are in your face and I love 'em! I was a little nervous about all the comments on its neck size, but it's hands down the most comfortable neck I've ever played. And I'm sure that that beefy neck contributes to its outstanding sustain and definition, too. It's the heaviest of the 5 LP's I've owned, but it's not uncomfortable. It just feels "serious!" I've always said that my '07 Elitist Plus Top was the guitar of a lifetime, but I may have to add the Bonamassa. With these 2 guitars I have all I'll ever need!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

So having the Gibson Joe Bonamassa I wasn't expecting to much from this Epiphone. However, I will say this, the quality and set up right out of the box was almost shocking. It has that same chunky neck, singing sustain and heavy body as the Gibson, but the feel, and build quality may surprise you. In some weird way it doesn't seem so USA handmade, but it's fit and finish are perfect and doesn't feel like and "Asian" instrument. So it doesn't reek that personal "made for me" thing when you open the box with all of the white wrapping, printed endorsement certificate, and cheesy case. But if you take it out, sit it in a room for a while, play it and set it up in a few days, you may have a piece that your can call Honey.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

I've always liked the value of Epiphone guitars but I don't like the thin necks on most of them. This guitar has a very nice fat neck that is very comfortable.

The pickups are also a nice bonus. I bought this guitar expecting to change them out the pickups like I have in other Epiphones. However, the Burstbuckers sounded too nice so I had to leave them in!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

For the second time in my life I own a masterpiece of a guitar. I own both Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Custom Shop Signature Les Pauls, and they are the real deal. Very high quality and craftsmanship, just as nice as a lot of Gibsons out there. Killer feel, and unreal tone, clean or dirty. Long live Joe Bonamassa, and keep up the great work Epiphone!!!

First ... I'm an Epiphone fan and this is my 4th and still very much please with the quality you get for the price. This model is by far my favorite and I believe the best built. I purchased this for 580 from MF over the holidays which I think is a steal for this model. I compare this directly to my 2014 Gibson SG also purchase from MF at an amazing price an their on par with each other! These are not readily availabe so if you get the chance, pick one up as you will be very happy you did!

            Joe Bonamassa Limited

            By Michael

            from Cincinnati, Ohio

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 2014 Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar:

I ordered my JB Limited Les Paul on Cyber Monday. It arrived three days later at Guitar Center of Cincinnati. It is flawless in finish and workmanship. This is my 4th Epiphone guitar. This guitar sounds great and sustains forever. I have bought two from G.S., and two from Sam Ash. 40 yrs. ago I would not have considered Epiphone. Nowdays, Epiphone's quality , as far as I've seen, is on par with almost anybody's in a production guitar. This guitar, as with each of my previous Epiphones needs a good set up. Actions come from the factory very high. That being said, with the exception of high end PRS, Tom Andersons,(I own a few) etc., what production guitar doesn't need a good set up? Once properly set up however, these guitars play and sound GREAT. For the price of an Epiphone, how COULD they include custom set up in a production guitar and make any profit?
