I just got this guitar last week, and it is unbelievable. There is no feedback whatsoever from my Vox AD50VT. For such a low price, I wasn't expecting the high quality I received. The white is absolutely beautiful and I still cannot get over the physical and electrical quality of this guitar. One last thing that made me extremely happy, was how the neck is not bolt-on. The body, the neck, and the head are all one piece. I highly recommend this guitar to all styles and levels of guitarists.

I got this guitar a about 6 months ago and its done its job. It has a very clean look but have had a few issues. When it came in the mail the action was way too high and made it difficult to do lead lines and solos. It also goes out of tune extremely easily. So easy that it should come in a package deal with a chromatic tuner. When my band plays shows i must retune it between every song its been such a hassle. also the bottom e string hums on the first four frets, so i have had issues with it while trying to perform riffs in that area. But besides all of that its been a great guitar. Im looking to upgrade to a better guitar tho extremely soon.

Epiphone Les Paul Studio

By ShreddKidd

from Scarborough, ON

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I've been playing for about 2 years now. I'm still very much a novice when it comes to playing. But I do know a good guitar when i see it. I've been lookin for a new guitar to replace my beat up garage sale guitar and I think I'm going to pick this one. I tried it through several amps while I was at the store. Everything from the Vox 15w to the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. With every amp it delivered a really strong sustaining tone. You can crunch ans shred those powerchords and get the tone you want but not lack on the sound when doing a blazing solo on the high end. The neck feels good and the whole guitar just feels solid. Although, the glossy coating on the neck does get kid of grippy when your hands start to sweat a bit. I play for hours on end and I know how often that happens. All the controls feel nice and strong. I gave 4.5s on features and quality because I feel the lack of binding and trapezoid inlays leaves a bit of a hole in the instrumenbt. I've tried some of the Gibson counterparts and they just feel better overall. But all in all, really nice tone, good feel.

Les Paul Studio

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for about 4 months now and I must say it's a very nice guitar. However, i must warn you that if you're into playing leads and high distortion, I would probably get an Ibanez because Les Pauls are perfect for the rythm guitar player, but not so much a lead. And it is a little heavier than most guitars, but hey, if you play rythm guitar alot, your not going to be thrashing it around alot.

My First Les Paul

By Triton

from Honolulu, Hawaii

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I'm a beginning guitarist who lives down the street from where I take lessons. Anyways, I was at the shop early and was just looking at the axes and my eyes fell upon this Les Paul. My father promised me a Gibson Les Paul if I keep up the good work. I decided to try the axe and I fell for it. I lovd it and now I really want the Gibson Les Paul.

AMAZING!!!!!!!

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar!! It is very versatile. It plays just about anything!!! I love it, it has great pickups, it stays in tune for longer than any of my 6 other guitars.I think this guitar looks great, and sounds fabulous. I literally never get tired of this. The alinco Classic pickups are great and this guitar is worth every penny and ten times more!! The fretboard is super fast! I had a guitar battle with a friend of mine, I destroyed him with this lethal weapon. It was just amazing.

poor man's les paul

By joe

from Houston, TX

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

excellent guitar. the photo is a bit deceiving because it doesn't show the curved top on the body. the neck is set so you get some serious sustain and tone that you would hear from a les paul costing hundreds of dollars more. the pickups have great tonal range. you can go from sharp and twangy country to fat crunch with the flip of the selector, and the tone knobs for each pickup give you even more reach into different tones. i'm running her through a vox valvetronic 30watt and she sounds amazing. for a great les paul without breaking the bank get this!

Very Underrated Guitar!!! Great Bang For The Money!!!

By Jeffrey Osgood

from Woonsocket, R.I.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I bought mine a little over a month ago at the North Attleboro, Mass. store and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's a Custom Shop Limited Edition. After doing a few tweaks such as adjusting the pickups and string height, I was in awe at just how much sustain these Alnico open coil humbuckers can put out when using distortion. Even when using a clean setting on my Crate GTD 120, they sound very lush and full. The Grover tuners do a great job of keeping this baby in tune also. My only gripe is the Dot Inlays. I do wish that it had Block Inlays but for the price, one can't really complain now, can they? I do reccommend though, that you do go and buy a hardshell case and a heavy duty strap for this guitar when you buy it only because of the weight and also to protect it. All in all, this is a very affordable and great alternative to those of us on a limited budget who can't afford the high prices for a US made Gibson. Well done Epiphone!

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

i got this guitar a couple years ago and i absolutely love it. both me and my friend play and every time he comes over we fight on who plays my les paul. the tone is wonderful, the neck is smooth as butter and it just plain feels nice to play. the only thing i don't like about it is that its a little on the heavy side, but other than that its a phenomenal guitar.

Great guitar

By Mr. Krinkle

from Estacada

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I recently purchased this guitar and couldn't be happier with it. Feels great ergonomically and plays even better, great range of tone, and thick satisfying sound. Best les paul I have played so far. No matter what style you play, it will surely please your ear. The only issue I have with it is the white finish, its a dirt magnet, be prepared to have a stroke if you have o.c.d, cause its gonna bug you, but I personaly like the white finish, definitely recommend it.

Great Bang for Your Buck

By Cisco

from Gaithersburg, MD

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I recently purchased my first guitar. I wanted to start with a cheap electric to get my feet wet. I went with the Epiphone Les Paul Special 2. What garbage! Couldn't stay tuned, pickups were trash, tons of feedback. I decided to spend some cash and get something I would be happy with. This guitar is fantastic!!! Stays in tune just fine. Pick ups are clean. For the most part, its the quality of the upper-tier guitars for mid-tier price. The fact that its a great looking guitar too doesn't hurt. I don't forsee myself buying a new guitar for at least a few years. Interesting note: The back of the fretboard is also white! Looks great and feels smooth when sliding your hand.

picked this guitar up over the summer after my strat did not meet my needs anymore. i took a trip to guitar center with my friend and fell in love with this guitar just upon seeing it. after trying it out i couldn't put it down. the guitar puts out great sounds both clean and under distortion. my knowledge of guitars is pretty basic but for the price the guitar is amazing. the action is nice and low and the sounds it puts out is amazing. it looks beautiful and sounds beautiful.

The weight difference puzzles me.

By krteel

from Sacramento, CA

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

OK. I'll get right to the point. This guitar weighs three pounds less than the exact same model produce a year ago. I don't know what Gibson is doing with the Epiphone labeled Les Pauls. Are they really using mahogany for the body and back of the neck? or are they using a cheap Chinese substitute? Are they putting hollowed chambers into this instrument? I'd like to know the answer. This guitar doesn't feel substatial enough to be considered a traditional Les Paul (... and yes, I do know the the Les Paul 100's, etc, have thinner bodies. However, I am not writing about these guitars, I am writing about the Alpine White Epiphone Les Paul Studio model.) Use caution in purchasing a guitar that has less density than the traditional Les Paul (if you want to get close to the traditional sound.)

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I completely underestimated this guitar. I looked at the price and thought that it was just a load of baloney. Then I went to GC and played it and the very same day, i brought it home. Works for beginners and experts. If you want a good guitar for a good price, this is the one for you.

HMMMMmmm

By Caleb

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

So to get to the bottem of this guitar, id have to tell yall my story. I walked into the guitar center closest to my house and the first two guitars i looked at were this guitar, and the gibson version (same exact look excluding the neck yet different pickups). When i first held these guitars the neck or frets felt different in a better way leaning towards this guitar. For one, the E position was closer to the head of the guitar on this epiphone it seemed in a very good way. I played both of these guitars in all of their different sounds from distortion and clean, using both the bridge pickups and neck individually to test the sounds of these guitars. For me the epiphone beat out the gibson with distortion and clean. This was a big shocker for me considering the gibson was much more expensive. BIG SHOCKER :) So this epiphone is most likely the one Im going to get this 4th of july weekend sale. Ive been countering this guitar with the ibanez art 100 (a very good guitar similar price) for a while now. Their both white all throughout and the only difference is the epiphone has 4 knobs controlling the sound, and the ibanez has 3. 4 is better than 3 because you can get a better sound out of this And the epiphone pickguard won me over considering the ibanez didnt have one.

Well Made Guitar For The Price!!!

By Jeffrey Osgood

from Woonsocket, R.I.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I purchased mine over a week and a half ago at the North Attleboro, Mass. store and was surprised to find that it was a limited custom shop edition, which made buying it that much easier. The only complaints that I had were that the intonation, string height and the pickups needed to be adjusted, which I immediately took care of. Once I did the necessary adjustments, I was blown away at how great this guitar sounded and at how much it stays it tune. I've read complaints where people would complain that the Chinese Epiphone models are not up to par, to which I say "Phooey"! I highly suggest that if you buy this or any new guitar that you either you have a setup yourself or take it to a professional and have it done. Believe me, you won't be sorry. This is one well made instrument. I couldn't find any flaws at all with the frets, wiring, imput jack, 3 way switch, etc. This is a great bargain for the price and will last me a long time. My hat is off to Epiphone for a real made quality guitar. Bravo!!!
