What's so special about the Epiphone Les Paul Special II Left-Hander? The super-low price for starters, and that's not all. This baby is every bit as handsome as its uptown cousins. Made with a mahogany and rosewood neck, alder/maple body, smooth 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, and chrome hardware. Features 2 humbucking pickups that deliver long, singing sustain and true LP tones.

I'm a lefty bass player, started on guitar 20 years ago but never looked back when I moved to bass. Needed a geet just to play some rhythm parts in a band, and this is way more than I expected for the price. Played out of the box but sounds and feels better with a minor setup. Probably trade the pickups out some day and it will be more than the sum of its parts. It's junior sized but with an adjustable bridge, best of both worlds. Would have preferred the tobacco burst in the Special from a few years ago, and saw a few out there still, but went with the tried and true GC purchase, find the cherry finish cheery but not garish. Well played all around.
Bought this guitar to learn how to play a couple of years ago and never stopped. While I have played on guitars that cost over 10 times as much, there is no way the added benefit is worth the cost (although I did buy a Fender Strat with my tax return last year on a whim and I love it, wife's idea). Still, I always come back to this one, amazing sound quality for the price, totally worth it for the beginner that doesn't want to have to switch guitars as soon as he gets slightly better. The only change to make when you start to get better is to buy a better amp, bought a good one second hand and that was a big game changer.
This is my son's second electric guitar. It does deliver what he was wanting, which is the 'Les Paul' sound. The price was perfect for a beginner guitar. The only downfall which is why we give 4 stars, is that while tuning one of the keys broke very easily, they are made of plastic.
I love how this guitar sounds, and for the price, you just cant beat it. Highly recomend:)
I havent played guitar in years and being a lefty makes it even more hard to get a decent guitar. This one fits the bill
I love this guitar. The price was perfect and the quality is excellent. Easy to play and looks fantastic.
It's a good guitar, The Pick ups on mine acted little funny right out of the box. A Little Sodering and it will be fine. My Review On Guitar Center. They Could have done much more to get this to me, Alot Sooner then a full month and a half after I ordered it. I ordered this guitar on Christmas Eve, and they didn't Call or send a email too say there will be a Delay in the Arrival.. I had to Call 3 times to finely Talk to a REAL Human not a computer. If you want this guitar... Buy it from the store. not online.
I got this guitar for christmas 2 years ago. And today is the day i finally had to bring it to a repair shop for the first time because the pickup finally fell in. So 2 years straight with not a single problem is AMAZING for a 184 dollar guitar. Great sound, great quality, great price. What can beat it.
This is an excellent guitar, it has lasted me for a year and a half an there is almost nothing wrong with it. It makes a nice sound even with small amps, and looks awesome. The only problem is that you need to change strings every month and a half.
This guitar is definitely the best left-handed guitar you can get at this price range. The action is very nice, and it is very easy to play. The tone is nice also. it does have a few flaws with the craftsmanship though. I had to refill both of the strap holders, because they both came loose. I also had to refit the pickups. In short, get this if you are just starting and want a guitar for cheap. Although I would personally tell you to save up the extra money and get the Epiphone Les Paul Standard.
