for anyone wondering this guitar is insane for the price. i own my share of expensive guitars but i also enjoy finding cheap guitars that can hold their own. i picked this guitar up at my local g.c. just to play around on and was impressed with its action so i plugged it in and was i surprised. so i decided to buy it and when i got home i hooked it up to my metal zone and nothing but insane sounds followed. wonderful clean tones and distortion has a nice fat crunch to it. if your looking for something fun to add to your lineup this is it.

This guitar doesn't stay in tune, the input jack needs to be replace about two-three weeks after having it, the paint chips easily and makes your hands stick to the neck which slows you down when playing this guitar, the pickups are some of the worst I've ever seen on a guitar for it being a BRAND NEW guitar, and the bridge is not aligned correctly with the rest of the guitar so anything past about the 7th or ninth fret hardly ever comes out the way it should sound. The tension was completely off as well on this guitar with the E, the D, and the G strings hitting the 1st fret which will constantly give you that bad sound from it constantly vibrating off of it. This was also due to the fact the the bridge wasn't properly aligned as well!! And this is the way it came Brand New and I never made any adjustments to it or anything because I took it back and got my money back. This guitar made my little nephew's First Act guitar sound like as if it were a Gibson SG just because of how poorly made this guitar was. I Do NOT recommend this Guitar to anyone, Beginners, experience players, or even anyone who is on a tight budget for that matter. Just Buy something else that is a name brand and make sure you check to see where it was made!!!!

Low price, high quality

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

The Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special guitar is awesome. The minute I picked it up in the store I felt complete. So f course I bought it. Mostly because of it's awesome sound and low price. It makes a great starter guitar or a cheap guitar to just shred on. Some people say that a guitar like this will not last long. But I know it will if I take good care of it.

sweet little junior

By les paul freak

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

i own 3 guitars now and i got this guitar over the presedents day sale. ive always wanted a lespaul or a junior. it rocks the only thing is that mine makes that annoying buzzing sound but i believe ive solved that. man this is an awsome sweet axe. it plays great. just about as good as my squire strat. i wish it came in white and black. but if your a beginner or an itermediate player this is the guitar for you. so if your not looking to spend too much on a guitar get this. i prefer gibson but this is as close as you will get if you cant afford a gibson. buy this guitar

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I was looking for a good solid guitar that wasnt going to hurt my wallet. I enjoy the tone and the all around playability of the Junior. The neck feels right to me and it doesnt way as much as alot of other guitars out there. Great guitar for a player with a budget. Thanks for everything and all the help.

Great Value

By MeNotyou

from SLC, UT

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

This guitar is simple, sounds great and doesn't cost a lot. The only "cheap" component would be the tuners. But the more I play, and the more I tune, they seem to keep the tune better. The sound is great. I bought this to have something to hammer power chords on and save my tele from the stress, but I keep wanting to play everything on this. You really can't go wrong.

The Best epiphone

By omar the beast

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

ok. So i bought this guitar cause its a junior and i wanted to get a junior cause billie joe armstrong plays one, but i can't afford a $1000 guitar. I have a mexican stratocaster, and i like this guitar more. trust me this thing rocks. Alot of people have had problems with the tuning knobs and the straps need locks. Mine didnt. So far it has stayed in tune for about 5 days and the strap hasnt fallen off since the day i put it on. Now the sound is phenomenal. Sounds almost like the gibson. get this guitar. great finish, sound, etc. Awesome for Green Day and any othe music. Very clean sounding guitar.

Great Guitar, Low Price

By Edwin Quinonez

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar this summer. SO far I love it. The only problem is that the guitar gets dirty fast. Youre fingerprints smudge on. So I would suggest to get a cleaning kit.

This guitar should really cost alot more

By Steven Williams

from Phliadelphia, Pa

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about two months ago. When i got it home and plugged it into my amp... I was completely blown away by the power of the humbucker pickup. Before i got the guitar i was thinking maybe I should buy some Gibson dirty fingers, but these pickups can hold their own man. When i drop c tune my guitar and plum-mute it's like hearing a bomb go off every time i strum!!!! I love this guitar, I've played many brands and Epiphone has won me over with this hidden treasure. I will gladly say this is now my main guitar. It sound really good through my Marshell Mgfx50. It has a really good look to it also.

Les Paul Goodness

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

This LP Jr. Is perfect, well at least for me. I got it as my first guitar and this thing rocks. I use it with a Fender Frontman 15r amp and it sounds awesome. I'm a big green day fan and when I play along it sounds exactly the same....I mean EXACTLY. Just change the strings and it's ready to shred!.This is a great beginners guitar.

Wow! Great guitar!

By Captian

from Michigan

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

Having wanted a Epiphone Junior for some time, my kids got me a vintage sunburst with a humbucker as a present. It was manufactured in Indonesia. The fit and finish on this guitar is great. It took just a few minutes to set up the action to my liking(very low). The finger board and frets are better than my Jackson Dinky. The guitar stays in tune, even after a lot of bending. The stock pickup and electronics were good. I wanted a little more output so I spent $100,and had the pickup replaced with a Seymour Duncan JB. I also replaced the volume pot, and had the tone pot replaced with a push/pull coil split for single coil tones if needed. The luthier at the store told me it plays better than some of his $2500 Gibsons. I can get any tone I want out of it while playing through my Peavey Valveking VK112. I know I got a good one, but I would recommend this Epi to anyone of any experience. Good job Epiphone!!

Awesome starter

By J LaManna

from New Jersey

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

Wow, I've had this guitar for only a night or so and it is just simply amazing. The only problem is hw often it gets out of tune. But overall it is a great guitar for its price, has amazing sound and would make a perfect gift for any starter, or even an intermediate player. Go ahead and get a $100 amp for this beauty, its worth every penny.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for 5 months now and I have to say I'm disappointed. Sure for the price i got this guitar and a cheesy amp but i bought a line 6 spider III amp and its still weak. By far the worst thing about this guitar is that it doesn't stay in tune even overnight. Thats just my experience though. I'd lean to even a squier strat, my brother just bought one and its better but not great.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

First of i got this guitar for 30 bucks when i bought my gibson and this thing is horrible first of the tuners are not very good you hit one bend and the whole thing goes out and the nut is made out of cheap plastic witch is not cut right so it makes the tuning worse. the neck is actually slow not fast because of the cheap paint they put on it that makes your hand stick to it. then the body is most likely ply wood because tone wood is another word for cheap wood.

Cheap Guitar

By Samantha

from Brandon, FL

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I bought this about two months ago and the guitar buzzes like no tommorow when you play. The input just fell out when i took out the amp cord, Cheap plastic, goes out of tune fast. I love Epiphone but I dont reccomend this to people who are even tight on money, get a les Paul Special II, way better.

Really Good

By Thom

from Australia

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

This Guitar Is great. I bought a discontinued Vintage Sunburst at G.C up in San Fran. I have put a SEYMOUR DUNCAN ALNICO PRO II in this and I have got a customised neck. This Guitar Is great for all styles. When I got it I was so in love with the look of it I just bought it without playing it. I got home and was amazed. The only thing that really annoys me is that its HEAVY. It broke my leather strap (which was $60). It also broke my strap pin. The hole for the strap pin has become a centimetre wider. My conclusion is it's really good. But don't stand up with it.

Epiphone LP Junior Special Guitar

By Tupaclives96

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

My cousin has this guitar, and I use it whenever I go to his house. It is a good, affordable guitar, especially suited for beginners and hobbyists as opposed to musicians. My cousin has had it for a while now, and has had no problems with it. Overall I would give this guitar a 4.0/5.0 for quality and value.

A starter and a perfection

By geetarshredder365

from pittsburgh, pa

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special Electric Guitar:

I got the guitar about 4 years ago and I still use it today. I've been player guitar for about 6 years and it is my favorite guitar I have ever gotten. This is a an amazing guitar for a great price. I play every kind of guitar music and its good for all types. I would certainly recommand this guitar to any kind of player. I am a novice player and play novice music on it. The only thing I would say is that it gets out tune pretty easily but that has never been a huge issue for me. Trust me, if you get one of these, it will be totally worth it!
