I don't know if the makers read the reviews and starting making the bag a little bigger, but some of the buyers complained about the bag being too tight and difficult to close the zippers. That was not the case for me. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Studio deluxe and it fit in the bag perfectly and comfortably (not loose)even without having to take the guitar strap off. The bag is padded which gives protection to my guitar, it looks great and not cheaply made. The zippers feel strong and the outside compartment fits perfectly a guitar cable, guitar strap and capo, extra strings and some room left for some other stuff. This gig bag is deffinitely worth more money. I am extremely happy with mine.

Your basic gig bag

By Gilligan

from South Dakota

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

Nothing fancy, but does the job fine. It's padded, has a small pocket on the outside that will fit strings, tuner, etc. More padding or a bit of a stiffer outer shell would have earned it 5 stars.

A great fix

By mom of 3

from groton ct

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

My daughter is learning the guitar. I purchased her a cheap lil guitar from walmart (barbie) and have needed a case for it so it travels easier from school to home. I searched for a case and had finally come across this one. It is a perfect fit plus she can throw it on her back, grab her trumpet case and bookbag and be on her way to school; it is so much easier for her on Thursdays, and she does not have to wrap it in a blanket to protect it!

Pros

  • One Of The Better Gigbags

Cons

  • Padding Is Thin

Best Uses

  • Home use

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

Ordered this item to go with my Les Paul guitar, however it must be noted that gig bags are normally thin, and while I'd consider this to be one of the better ones it does not take away from the fact that it provides little protection for the Les Paul. For the price It cannot really be knocked, considering the fact that you do get a moderately built gig bag with "some" padding. Whether that may be enough for you is a question only you can answer. If you are looking to protect your guitar from dust then this gig bag will do fine. However if you are looking for protection against bumps while on the go, then I'd advice that you invest in a hard case or at least a soft case of higher caliber. For example you could check out the "Epiphone Les Paul Hard Case" or the "Gator GL-LPS Lightweight Guitar Case" if you are looking for a semi-hard (poly foam) case with straps. Both options come in at under one hundred dollars at the time of writing.

Fits fine, works as designed

By Steve

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

The bag fit my Epiphone Les Paul just fine, and I was able to zip it with no problems. I appreciated getting an "official" Epiphone gig bag for less than the cost of one of the third-party brands (although the Epiphone logo on the bag is a bit large for my taste).

Great gig bag

By Anna Carson

from Ft Worth, TX

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

Well padded, good construction: this fits my Epiphone solid-body LP snugly and securely. The front pocket could be a little bigger (just got room for my cable and strings), but otherwise great. I love the backpack straps- way more versatile than lugging the thing by the handle all the time. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great for the Price

By Joseph Shahoud

from Lexington, SC

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

This gig back is exactly what you would expect for this price point. The quality is very good. The materials are very strong and durable. I am confident this bag will last me many, many years. That being said, it is a very light weight bag, there is not a lot of padding inside. It is best for light road use. If you are gigging a lot and playing out all over the place, this bag may not be the best for you. I am still very careful with my guitar when I have it in this bag. I will continue to use this bag unless I have a have a scare of some sort that would drive me to start using a more substantial bag. You certainly can't beat the price, though, that is for sure.

Really OK Gig Bag

By David

from Albemarle NC

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

Got this for an Epiphone Special I with P-90's and it fits great. Would work for lots of smaller bodied Epi Les Paul type instruments. No gig bag is as good as a hard case, so already off the bat I have to deduct SOMETHING, but the price is very reasonable for a well padded bag and other bags in this price range often won't have any padding at all. Shoulder straps are good, the zippered storage pocket though is smaller than I expected. You can't get much in it beyond spare strings, a short cable and maybe a small electronic tuner. I don't think all that would fit if you tried putting a strap in there too so storage space is at a premium. Still it is well padded to be so cheap so 4 stars. Well made compared to some I've seen.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

Very cheap in cost and design. Flimsy and unpadded.
Works as a dust cover. Don;t expect it to protect against drops and bumps.
That's about it.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

For the price, this bag does the job. I bought an Epiphone Les Paul II and needed a bag to get it between home and practice. This bag fits it well (a little excess room on the top but no big deal). My only gripe is that the front pouch can't hold 8.5x11 sheets of paper in a folder without sticking out from the top. No biggie though!

Decent bag. Sturdy construction, the handle straps wrap all the way around the bag. Light padding. Small pocket.
A good bag for easy trips where your guitar won't take to hard of a beating in its travels. It was worth what I spent.
I purchased this for my own use online at GC.

This is a great bag for the price. Hard to believe it's so inexpensive. I use it for an LP Jr and it fits very snug. I don't think there is any room to spare but that's fine since it wont ever move around in the bag. There is adequate padding for light travel or if you just need something for storage and it appears well made. I'm very happy with the purchase and glad I didn't spend more then I had to. ;)

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

I use this bag with an Epiphone Les Paul. It fits like a glove, but it's easy to get your guitar in and out. I zip it in for the night to keep my guitar from the dust the whole day, and back form work I take it out still tuned. The abrasion resistant nylon on the outside is high quality, and the padding seems to be hi density foam. The inside is smooth to keep your guitar cozy. The carrying straps have comfortable padding, with the option to carry like a backpack. Still don't trust the clip hooks to not release the guitar to the floor, so have to make sure there are no twists that can cause that to happen. For a Les Paul sized guitar, look no further. This is your bag.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

For the price this bag does everything you want it to do. It fits my LP Special II like a glove. The pocket is big enough to stow strap, cable, picks and even a tuner. Construction is rugged and o signs of potential problems. A well made bag that fits my Les Paul perfectly. I don't gig or travel with it on planes, this bag offers everything I need for light travel in the car, and the two shoulder straps make excellent hands free & comfortable travel on my back. This is a really nice and highly functional bag for the price.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Gig Bag:

This case is fine but its so easy to break it! Both zippers broke... and i tried fitting my epiphone les paul special 2 into it (its my first guitar, i have a better one now) and it just needs to be atleast 1 inch bigger or you have to try really hard to get the guitar in! really annoying case.. Id recommend buying a better one but this one still gets the job done... its just pretty annoying.
