Overview

The king of solid body guitars, the Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Les Paul himself suggested black as a great color for a new Les Paul because it looked "classy" and went well with a tuxedo on stage. Now with its ebony or antique white finish, the Les Paul Custom has often been referred to as the "tuxedo" Les Paul.

And with its gold appointments, fully bound body, neck and headstock and mother-of-pearl inlays, we think you'll agree that the Epiphone Les Paul Custom is "dressed to kill". Now featuring ProBucker 2 and ProBucker 3 humbucking pickups, gold hardware, multi-binding on body (top and back), neck and headstock as well as split-diamond pearloid headstock and fretboard inlays, it's as gorgeous as it is deadly. Case sold separately.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

1st one I bought brand new out of the box had a nice deep scratch on the top of the body. GC returned it and had another shipped to me and that arrived with a broken string. Epiphone's QC is questionable. Guitar sounds good however after the hastle. Dylan at the Carle Place store fixed the string and tuned it up quickly, he I recommend for repairs.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

I play in the worship team at church. This thing is a monster of a guitar. IT IS A TANK. My strap broke and the guitar fell right on the machine heads and the only thing it got was a scratch. If you play on stage and will be standing and moving a lot, be sure to invest in strap locks and a good strap because fair warning "THIS GUITAR IS HEAVY AND WILL HURT YOUR NECK AND BACK AFTER A WHILE" I've had this guitar for a year and it is my absolute favorite. We recently lost our acoustic guitarist at church so I have been playing acoustic for about three weeks. This Les Paul was in its hard shell case for three weeks and was almost perfectly in tune when I pulled it out yesterday. This guitar has a BIG range of tones due to the push/pull pots activating the coil splits and the phase switch. You can do just about anything with it. It's up there with the Gibsons tone and play-ability wise.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

The Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar feels good in my hands, the fretboard is smooth, and I noticed how easy it was to play. The PRO capabilities (where there is single coil action) is very good, but frankly I enjoyed the full-bodied sound through both humbucker pickups. It is certainly an instrument that I have been enjoying a lot of lately, and certainly it's worth the investment. A friend of mine had a Les Paul Custom many years ago and I remembered how it felt then and it feels just as good now with my new instrument. Certainly worthwhile having and I endorse its purchase :)

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

I must say that the Les Paul Custom by Epiphone is one of the finest feeling guitars I have ever had, but that is not all. I was trying out the volume and tone controls, and played the guitar in single coil mode and with phase on and the Custom is excellent. It has a fine finish, looks good, and really, to my delight, feels good in my hands. The fingerboard and frets are so smooth, they allow my fingers to glide from point to point, and I really enjoy the fact that it seems to fit my hands when I lay down chords also. I can just imagine the joy I'll experience as I continue to break in this new, finely crafted instrument. Even without special effects, The Custom has ringing tones and beautiful harmonics. Can only imagine how great it would be to go giguing with it. An excellent investment at an awesome price.

      FOUR THUMBS UP!

      By PAT

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

I could not decide between black or white, So my son and I now have a pair of these beauties. They shipped them separate and we didn't get them both the same day. That's been the only disappointment. Both the black one and the white one came in perfect shape. After letting them sit and warm up to room temp we tuned up and tried them out. We love them both, they play great! The strings are thinner than what we play with but these don't need anything else. Two thumbs up from both of us! Thanks! Pat and Matthew

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

First off, this is my 2nd epiphone lp custom with the new probuckers. I think for the price it is a solid setup and sounds good.. but i had plans for the alpine white from the start. I pulled all of the electronics, and installed emg 81/85 and replaced all of the gold hardware with black, even the screws. Its a metal machine!
